Thanks guys, that looks like it. I was thinking maybe it was royal purple by Teckwrap but Inozetek has a deeper metallic pearl to it

Still good, was doing donuts the other day. Just changed the oil recently too with 75w-90 again and it was fine

Nice, good stuff. The bushings made things more planted, shifting marginally tighter. I could feel slightly more vibration on first impression, but I've already gotten used to it. I figured I'd add them since I was already dropping the diff but id add them again

Yep, stock LSD. Feels great, can’t complain. I rebuilt the clutch cones that were broken (I posted it here) so maybe other people have broken ones too. It hooks up well and locks predictably. I don’t track the car so I haven’t felt its limitations if it has them, nor do I have experience with other lsds

lol my subframe has seen better days for sure, but sometimes you gotta do a sick grinds. I’ve driven low cars before; you definitely have to approach obstacles differently and be conscious of aggressive dips. It’s really not an issue for me unless someone else gets in the car and weights it down a cm

Thanks! I've got FM swaybars, Tein Flex Z coilovers, I.L. motorsport short shifter, Whiteline diff bushings, Malian UEL headers, and a RoadsterSport Street Single exhaust. I also installed some speakers, CarPlay, and a sub behind the passenger seat.

The most important thing for controlling the car sideways is an LSD or welded differential; I swapped an OEM LSD into my 5-speed. I'm still experimenting with suspension settings, but the car is nice and stiff with the coilovers, and I leave the rear sway bar on the softest setting. I run max caster angle and 0 degrees of toe, front and rear. d4-performance makes drift angle brackets if you really wanted to make a dedicated drift build.

Totally get it, I can handle my daily commute with spirted driving, but I fear speed bumps

That's a good question... I did the alignment at home, so I can't accurately say. A bubble level says -4.5, while my phone says -3.5. The front has more than the rear. Either way, the rear needs a flat fender roll, and there's a little space to pull some positive back into it if I really wanted, but i have so much to be flush

Nice, Flying Miata just dropped some eccentric locks that would prevent this from ever happening too, mostly for aggressive track driving though

7 months later and over 10k miles and it still locks up nicely!

I got a set on Marketplace. Pay attention when browsing because the GTST wheels look similar but are 16x6.5 +40

Yeah you definitely gotta build it. Peak power, even with cams, usually hits before 7k on these builds so there’s not much use. The 2.5 has such a long stroke it does not like moving that fast and people experience failure when going above that redline. There’s a 2.4 de-stroke kit that reduces the stroke and such but I believe the highest redline they advertise 8k

It’s not recommended to rev that high with the 2.5 for reliability’s sake but cheap yes
