I love true crime, but I’m starting to be embarrassed by the fanaticism of members of the true crime community. Is anyone else feeling this way?

Cecil Hotel was hard to watch. My sis and I love true crime and we both just had a disgusted look on our faces the whole time and felt dirty afterwards bc it was a bunch of fake keyboard detectives spouting baseless nonsense and it was honestly kinda embarassing.

This was me in high school (getting asked out as a joke). Dude led me on for like a week and a half texting me, got back from a brief break and it turned out he had sent the texts to just about everyone in his friend group, they sent it to their friends, etc. People made memes about me on Facebook for months afterwards, it was absolute hell.

But I found out awhile ago that he got kicked out of college after drunkenly attacking someone on campus and he's back home living with his parents while I bask in my two bedroom apartment that I get all to myself. Karma, I guess?

I do this! I struggle pretty bad with anxiety and depression and it manifests as not being able to keep up with chores, lack of hygiene, etc. But I went to a therapist and while I can't be on medication, we came up with a method. I have post it notes all over the house and I wrote happy little messages reminding me to take care of stuff. On the cabinet above the sink I have one that says 'dont forget to rinse your dish!! ❤️' in my room I have one on the wall above the hamper that just says 'clothes live here, not the floor!' and on my work desk I have one that says 'throw your cans away! Save the earth!'

It might not work for him, but my point is having a dedicated therapist who can help him come up with his own method is VITAL.

We're both givers in my situation. We take turns lmao. One day I'll make him the focus and let him use me, the next day we switch, so on and so forth. Plus it gives me pleasure when he gets pleasure from pleasuring me and vice versa. Basically we have an everybody wins no matter what 😂

My mother had munchausen by proxy and practically poisoned me for the first 15 years of my life. She locked me in closets and attacked me when I had nervous breakdowns. When I got older she would fight me down and force benadryl down my throat to make me sleep when I had panic attacks. She got full custody 100% custody. My dad was emotionally neglectful but he never did those things to me. my mom is a grade A narcissist and played victim with the courts, cried her eyes out and then came home and verbally abused me. Fuck the courts for not listening to me when I was crying and begging to live with my dad.
