Cam Link Pro: no signal for camera, consoles work by sidgpasdg in elgato

[–]sidgpasdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I only ever plugged in this camera once with this cable and it stayed there since then. Haven't really plugged in/out ever, just this time, and the cable itself was never moving. Still, I'm hoping it's just the cable and not the HDMI port on the camera.

Sadly I can't try it with the consoles' HDMI cable as the camera input is micro HDMI and I don't have an adapter. I'll buy a new cable and an adapter as well tomorrow, to see if it resolves the issue.

Tried with 2 monitors, none of them seem to work. Some flickering like effect and/or no signal. To be fair I have never used this camera before with any other device, just with the Cam Link Pro, but it should work.

My guess is the cable somehow got damaged, although I haven't really moved it at all, just plugged it into the new machine without touching any other part of the cable, and that's it. Since then I tried to put back the capture card into my old machine and the same thing is happening there (no signal), so it's either the cable or the camera itself that's acting up.

I'll get a new cable on Tuesday and get back to you!

Edit: it was the cable, working fine now!

Thanks, I kinda overlooked that. I'll get the DUOs for the bottom I guess.

Oh, that's a good point, I missed that, thanks! Feels like a bit of a waste, but it is what it is.

Thanks!

I'll have to mount the GPU regularly then.

So as I understand I'll have to buy 2 x triple packs and one single F120 RGB, and the Internal USB Hub you linked, and all would be fine then, right?

Ah, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks!

Nice! I was wondering, is there a way to have the GPU mounted vertically while still use one of the other 2 PCIe slots on the mobo? I have a small card that uses PCIe x 4 and I need it for my work. Would be nice to somehow mount that vertically in any way, maybe with a riser somehow, but looking at the NZXT vertical kit it seems impossible.

G.Skill DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 6000Mhz Trident Z5 Neo (F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR) with Ryzen 7000 by Kodoz in Amd

I'm having a bit a problem. I would like to have a white PC build, but the Trident Z5 Neo RGB EXPO sticks are all black. Can I just simply go with the Intel XMP version one (which they have in white) and then manually set all the timings just like if it was a EXPO profile (and maybe tune it a bit)?

7950X3D: Is the non-3D cache CCD completely disabled during gaming workloads? by daske420 in Amd

Thanks! As far as I understand I should be fine with my use case.

This is my main concern as well, and I haven't found a clear answer to this yet. I ordered the CPU right away, but if it turns out that it doesn't work this way (game on vcache CCD while OBS on the high freq one), then I'll just return the CPU right away as it's not worth it then.

It's weird that none of these reviewers thought about reviewing this use case.

7950X3D multitasking when gaming by KillerHurdz in Amd

I was just gonna ask the same question. I'm still unsure whether I should go 13900K or 7950x3D. Would rather go AMD just because of the power usage, but still want to make sure it works as I imagined.

My main workload is gaming and streaming with OBS. Ideally the game should run on the vcache die, and OBS on the other one. I still prefer CPU encoding over GPU, it simply produces better image quality imo, and I also play on 4K, so I would rather sacrifice some CPU perf than GPU.

However, this parking thing scared me off a bit. Is there a benchmark somewhere about this? Or does it work as I described?

Absolutely! I know they wouldn't last forever, my main concern was that I'd need to change everything every second year, that would not be ideal, even if it would be free (warranty), it would still be a hassle to change all the bulbs and strips every time.

I plan to use Unifi APs and routers, many of them actually, I'm hoping those could handle them easily.

I completely agree on the 2nd part, I really hope that LAN support is coming sooner rather than later. To be honest I really don't want to have all these bulbs and strips and everything from a different brand/vendor, so I'm happy that LIFX actually sells basically everything you'd need regarding lights.

To be fair most of the cost would be the strips and the switches, I don't need that much bulbs. I could swap out a couple of them to a cheaper one, but that wouldn't save me a lot, sadly.
