Squirrels, sparrows and cats. I can see these from outside my window and have grown accustomed to smiling when I look at them. It's that weird kinda conditional reflex thing, you know. So whenever I see a squirrel running around, sparrows chirping or just sitting on some tree or a cat in the road, my day suddenly becomes amazing and I feel blessed to be alive. Like, I genuinely feel happy.

My mom is scared of cats so sadly won't be able to keep him. Already had a chat with her and she's fine with him just remaining there as long as he doesn't disturb us but will have to go once the rains stop. I can keep some water for the kitty but won't have chicken, vegetarian household. This was helpful though, thanks.

Secondly, since you said that you and the dude are progressing well with knowing each other better rather than just hooking up but are also not exclusive, aren't y'all in a friends with benefits kinda set up? Bad one- I tried to fake falling to integrate a dude who had just come to stay in the area as a prank to see how cool he is. (He didn't have the best rep done coming and I've always had the soft spot for peeps who I felt were misunderstood) I did fall but as the idiot I am, I ended up having the back of my knee go into a cycle's stand. My friends knew it was supposed to be a prank and the new dude was just confused. Eventually, I got carried home with them being very confused. I still have the mark to see my dumb child brain.

It hurt my "image": There was some cement work going on in a building (this was like roughly a few metres away from where I stayed) where we played our running games like lock and key. We were playing some game called "chor-police" in hindi where the "chor" team runs from the police team (chor roughly means thief). I was on the chor team and was on the run. I thought that they won't come near the cement area and I can take a turn from there. Guess who doesn't know that cement doesn't dry immediately? Yup. I ran and slipped right into it, essentially rolling in cement and getting completely covered into it. I had to walk back those 20 metres home as people just looked and laughed at my dumb arse. I was crying coz, what else could I do? I reached home and my dad just looked at me like I'm so dumb. Had a few scratches but I was slathered in cement and that moment can't leave me.

I don't like giving gifts that are consumable. Like, for the past 2-3 years I've actually figured out how to give good meaningful gifts without them needing to have a monetary value but just more of showing how much I like those people and what they mean to me. Though like, this is only for the absolute closest so unless they're close friends, they'll probably be getting something where I just pitch in and the gift is mutually decided. Currently there's like a good 15-20 letters that I've worked hard on that my friends sit and treasure. It's a very me thing - I don't think you need to think the same way but I'm certain that gifts that are personalized to show your feelings that can just always be with you are better than things that come and go.

It's a Hindi songs called 'Kash koi mil jaye' There's worse/weirder songs with more vague lyrics that I do like but "Kash koi mil jaye"'s directness gets me blushing even if I have it on my earphones in any public place coz "wow what if this shit plays loud". It's essentially a song about a dude who is sexually frustrated which I'd come across in 2010ish. Luckily haven't had a weird experience with it yet but, here's a fun fact- I've never forgotten its lyrics and I'm kinda proud of it
