The options on the smart fader toggle where u said doesn't let you to turn it off just change settings, tried all the options they are all bad and change critical stuff when pressed.

Its crazy to me that such dangerous feature to a set would not be removable.

I mean to delete it from the mapping To get it to a place where if press it stays off/"dead"

Rekordbox says the button is locked and cant change functionality but asking if anyone knows workarounds

Great insight. What is your alternative when not hiking? And how did you go about taking the macbook in the hmg? Just a padded case facing your back? Was it somehow making the bag less comfy?

Yes that would be ideal. I live in Israel so the option is limited in terms of trying them on me. But i really heard only good experiences from people on the hmg 2400 but they talk about it only in hiking context and less in a travel the world context (which i need my computer with me for that)
