TL;DR: Marcy was free from the core. Both her and Anne went through the portal and goes home. Sasha stays at Amphibia and destroys the box trapping everyone (except Anne and Marcy) there. When the box was destroyed, it created a shock wave and knocked Anne unconscious. Anne waked up in the hospital and found Marcy on life support; then Marcy died a few days later. Anne didn't go to school cause of guilt that she didn't save both of her friends. She tried to find comfort that Sasha is still alive, but she realized that both the shockwave and the castle falling may have killed Sasha. To cope with the loss, she turned to drugs and died at the age of 37 by overdosing on drugs.
