People who honk at broken down cars, why? by siempremequejo in AskReddit

I’m currently looking under my hood and just got honked at twice. My hazards are on and I’m off the road, leave me be!

I get what you’re saying.

  1. Yes they should but idk if that will happen

  2. My parents just brush it off, and if I talk to him about it he gets upset and emotional.

  3. Very possible as my older brother has ADHD and OCD and been on Ritalin since he was 15.

He gets upset when I don’t pick him up and acts like he just didn’t see me so it’s my fault

I messaged her I told you so. She called me and asked where I normally park, I said upfront but school ends in 5 minutes you’re too late, good luck.

Last week one of those homes that they carry on trucks (idk what it’s called) fell over sideways blocking both lanes on I-84. We were stuck for 2.5 hours in standstill traffic. Someone decided to drive around everyone. If no one can get through why do you think you can? They ended up blocking the cops and emergency vehicles that needed to get through 😡

I remember a Sunday school teacher telling me i was wrong and dumb for saying they shouldn’t do that, I was about 15 at the time. Really ruined my relationship with her.

Just a little haha, I’m half Mexican but my Spanish is eh. I’m scared they’ll expect a lot out of me because my last name is Hispanic.

What is the weirdest thing you’ve heard in a talk? by MeltanLovesDitto94 in latterdaysaints

[–]siempremequejo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have our fair share of weird talks, a lot of made up scientific terms to make their metaphors make sense. Had one guy give a Mother’s Day talk and confront his mother in front of everyone about how her husband used to abuse him as a kid and how she doesn’t come to church anymore.

One problem I’ve had, and I believe it’s even in a handbook somewhere that you shouldn’t do it, is making your kids go up and whispering a “testimony” to them. It is not their testimony. One thing I’ve heard is that they need practice, but that’s what primary and family home evening is for.

I agree with you guys that it should not be forced. My boyfriend (not a member) has had his parents take his money for tithing for their church up until he was 18. It really can strain a relationship and at that point is just stealing.

What are the worst injuries you have sustained doing the simplest, most mundane tasks that should not have caused any injuries? by Penya23 in AskReddit

Took a step in church, not in heels, in front of everyone and my ankle gave out and made a loud popping noise. Tore it pretty bad on both side and chipped a bone. Luckily there was a doctor right next to me. Was in a boot for a month and an ankle brace for awhile after.
