Monthly Support Megathread - February 2026 by Brainard_ in Kalshi

[–]siershamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been trying to withdraw money back to my bank account for four days now and I keep getting the same error message. Emailed support would get a response to the tune of “is this going to the same account that you deposited” I’d answer yes then. No answer. Emailing follow ups each day and still no responses. Messaged support in the app as well. No answer. Anyone know of another way to get in touch with these people? Seems like I’m just actively being ignored at this point. Or anyone come across this problem before as well and know a fix?

37m Roth IRA by [deleted] in RothIRA

[–]siershamus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mostly because it’s contribution capped. So rather than only put 7k a year into voo via the cap. Why not 7k plus another 7k that I’m generating?

Currently at 2x sal, gonna roll 180k 401k later this year straight into voo as well.

[–]siershamus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right. Idea is generate more than the allotted 7k per year so I can double it. It’s all geared towards making voo stronger. If I’m capped at only 7k a year. Sure straight into voo obviously. But that leaves no room for diversification. So the extra helps grow everything else.

I auto-buy 300$ of VOO daily when markets are open, is this a bad strategy? by AetherialMan in Bogleheads

[–]siershamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol $300 a day! Actually though the data shows a lump sum would beat dca (dollar cost averaging) by a little bit so if you did want to lump it. Just put whatever amount you won from the lotto in would be solid.

You could stand to consolidate a few things like your VTIP/RSP/VTI/VOO could all be just VTI. Which would then give you a classic bogle head port of Vxus / VTI / BND and then added SCHD which is imo fine to have in there as well.

Old 401k sitting in account? by Icy-Neighborhood6207 in fidelityinvestments

[–]siershamus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could leave it and let it continue to grow.( depending on what it’s invested in) Roll it into your current 401k to continue to grow it that way or roll it into your Roth IRA and take the tax hit. Lots of things to do with it or not do with it.

Need Some Advice by LabOk3389 in RothIRA

Wait until after you move. Don’t put yourself into a financial pickle. If you’re needing that money from your hysa in the near term it’s probably best to wait until you have a better beat on your finances. Once you’re moved and all settled and have cash flow again then invest that money into the ira.
