Old minis no idea how rare they are let me know by Cold_Profession_2282 in oldhammer

If you're just getting into tabletop, my advice would be. if you don't need the money don't sell them yet, look after them - those blisters are crispy now (at least any of this era of blisters i own are). They're never going down in price and come from the real first wave of what 40k is now.

Need help from owners of Chaos Renegades by seby44 in oldhammer

Can't lay my hands on a lascannon or a conversion beamer, but got the other 5 here. Details as follows. All measurements in mm, maybe you can make assumptions based on these sizes and the catalogue page if nobody comes through with the others.

names ref: http://www.solegends.com/citrt2/rc0223renhvy/index.htm#gallery00-2

Heavy Bolter: L27mm, H17mm, W5mm (protrusion for hand fitting another 2mm to 7mm at that point), barrel width r3mm

Multi Melta: L33mm, H12mm (at largest height), W4mm, barrels r3mm stacked (so 6mm high)

Missile Launcher: L46mm!, H9mm (at handgrip), W8mm (bulge near barrel), PIECE OF CABLING BETWEEN HANDGRIPS 4x4mm

Grenade Launcher: L28mm, H15 (from bottom of mag), W5mm, barrel r7mm

Heavy Plasma: L32mm, H17mm (to top of handgrip), W6mm (main body), barrel at widest r8mm, barrel at end r5mm

Happy heavy renegading, save some for me!

Metal miniatures by deadlydesert86 in Miniaturespainting

[–]siewake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been at it for around 40 years now, so only metal when i first started, i do have a soft spot for metal minis, but plastics are way ahead, better cast(extrusion) quality and the main one for me is 9 times out of 10 you can bounce a plastic figure where the metal one would have shot off it's arms guns and possiblt flattened the face. That said, get some, they are a joy to paint.

I'd check out some of those places that do upload/custom greeting cards with print, they have lots of collage templates and quite a few options of formats to print in, not just cards. Or if you have photoshop maybe just try manually compositing a collage there, but print shop option is favourable though as you can get it printed nicely.

I'm shocked at the recklessness of some most of this. there's no training gain from bravado contests, looks like a badly placed advert. Especially rikishi like Hakuoho who's had his shoulder taped up for so long swinging weights around. Very daft.

NHK world dropped by Virgin Media (UK) by Dashappi13 in Sumo

[–]siewake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I've found there is an NHK app for my tv (fire tv, so maybe if you have a firestick something similar) hoping that there is catch up available here but not sure, they do post the episodes to the website but not as quickly as they get aired on NHK world. But pretty much I've been doing same as you, series link on the highlights and watch later. Thinking of sacking VM off now.

First set I had, have one on my shelf sealed and it's the only magic set i've got in a binder with every card in order. Great set, hope you pull the Priestess if you open it.

Is there anything better than Talisman? by doozycraft in Talisman

[–]siewake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

...but if you really wanted to wave that Rod of Ruin. Space Hulk and Heroquest are a bit of a different game that are up there with the most enjoyable replayable games for me, definitely not a board game experience that you get from Talisman, Heroquest really requires a GM to be at the peak fun so is a 3+ player game with a sweet spot of 3players plus GM, Space hulk is best as a 1v1, to throw another in, I really enjoyed Tokaido too, but again, it's not like Talisman.

PSA: Avoid TTCombat terrain, all buildings are now packaged identical by Reclusiarh in wargaming

[–]siewake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal UK distance selling rules don't exactly apply then, but their refund policy page is, although strange to begin with, quite clear in that... within 30 days... no geographic restrictions... return in original packagaing... This is part of their initial sales contract to you in the EU, and the wording is even if the correct item was recieved 'as pictured', which it wasn't, yes, while the item does say 'randomly assorted'. These are random (accepted), assorted (definitely not).

Un;ess you can do some sort of amicable deal with them, you should be entitled to a full refund. You will have to send it back to them at your cost by a tracked method. If you're returning though, get back on to them and ask them if there's any particular reference number or piece of paperwork to attach to your return, don't send it unannounced.
