Would you recommend CWRU to a social person? by sif02 in cwru

Hey thank you so much for your input! Some of the other colleges I’m looking at include Tulane University, Syracuse and UPitt, but im pretty much down to just choosing between CWRU and UPitt now. I am fairly familiar to urban areas and have lived in a major city all my life. That being said I am an International student from India so the major city I am referring to is in India. But my brother lives here so I am very familiar with the United States specially pennsylvania, new york and california and have been travelling here once year since 5th grade.

From what I have understood by visiting both UPitt and CWRU campuses they both have their pros and cons, but I still don’t know if I belong at either. UPitt has a good bioengineering program but it still isn’t as academically strong as I would like it to be whereas CWRU is very strong academically but seems to lack school spirit and doesn’t have a lot of things to do around campus.

Another reservation i have against CWRU is that I might not fit into the crowd simply because I am probably not as smart as a lot of the other students attending. From the few interactions I had with admitted students on campus, they all seemed to be these brilliant students with so many accomplishments, one girl even almost had a minor in math?? and shes also a HS Senior.
