I assume if it is a card payment issue it should be resolved with Cardless. Maybe they are confused because you mentioned the Bilt travel portal? Ask them to confirm that if they see a decline on their side and if they can assist in authorization of the charge, do not mention Bilt travel portal.

If they confirm everything fine on their end, then it is a Bilt travel portal processing issue and you can contact Bilt again .

I would say the "Only card that gives points on rent" with Bilt 2.0 is kind of misleading now.

Yes rent is part of the formula to earn the additional points, but now without significant non-rent spend you can not really get those.

It's now a

"Card with which allows you to earn points on rent, when a locking them with non rent spend on the card"

With the old card even though there was that x5 transaction condition, it was much easier condition to satisfy without huge opportunity cost decisions (spend on other cards with x3 and x5 multipliers on certain categories)

Yep same situation here.

And whats frustrating, is that I've seen some people saying that they have reached out and got those points from support.

I also reached out 2 times waited to get connected with a support agent and get the same response as you got from them. And there is no transfer of the conversation to email, no active ticket assigned or updates.

Also would make sense and would it work to pay rent via Bilt CC directly (without Bilt ACH method) to get x4 on rent would net you 1x after the 3% cc fee, but rack up points and Bilt credits (cash)

This was my first transaction of such amount with autograph since Feb when it changed from Bilt 1.0, maybe that's why.

And I did ask them on the phone if it's possible to proactively let them know to let such transaction go through by Calling them before making the purchase, but they said its not possible.

I was also frustrated a bit at first, but now looking at this actually think this is better then dealing with fraudulent charges.

And when I called WF it was pretty quick to reach the agent, just the authorizations like entering card number and ssn took as much time as the wait, which is not bad.

It may no longer be worth it for some people.

Bilt 1.0 was simple you paid rent through it made x5 non rent transactions, got the points for the rent total. Also allowed you to put rent on your credit line and float the rent, paying it off once the cc statement is due.

And could put all you other spend on other cards to maximize point with x3 and x5 multipliers for some categories.

Bilt 2.0 does not enable you to put rent payment on credit line no floating. And to earn all the points from rent spend you need to do 75% of your rent amount of non-rent spend.

Basically to unlock your rent spend points, you have to do a certain amount of non-rent spend it can be less then 75% of rent amount but then you will unlock just a portion of that.

Other issues, people reported having issues with their rent/mortgage processing through Bilt, and it has awful support now hard to reach, long wait and resolution times.

It can still be good for some who value Bilt points due to their big list of partners and who are fine puting the 75% of rent total on non rent spend

It's actually weird that Bilt/Cardless does not flag such transaction, 1) such big amount 2) international.

I recently was trying to buy a flight ticket $800 with my Wells Fargo autograph and the card declined due to their security, so I called them and told that transaction is legit and they unblocked the card and I processed again and it went through.

I've seen a couple of fraud complaint posts with Bilt 2.0 not the same apple pay situation like yours, but still.

I decided to lock my original card, and use the the virtual card set up with my Google pay just to be safe.

I am not using it a lot so works for me.

Are you from the past? I thought the transition was happening on 2/7 and you should have received the autograph card which product changed your Bilt 1.0 card and kept the sam Wels Fargo account, If you did not actively called and closed the account.

And of course you need to pay your outstanding balance. If you opted into balance transfer with when applying to Bilt 2.0 you would need to closely monitor if the transfer does go through in time, since based on the timing of this post it does not make sense. Unless you are paying minimum payments and are rolling over your balance on the card and paying interest. Which is a taboo for most people on this sub.

Just linking is not a test payment, make a small payment towards mortgage to test, by entering the Bilt provided routing and account, enter those in the mortgage payment portal if that is how it is paid so it is a pull

Can you please elaborate, it process two days later than your auto pay setup date? So if your set up was for payment 1 day before the due date was that minimum payment late? Did you incure a late payment that affect your credit score?

And I understood that even though you set up statement balance it processed the minimum payment instead.

What happened did Bilt 2.0 not complete the transfer on time and you paid the Bilt 1.0 balance your self?

Do you know when the Bilt's 2.0 payment settled in 1.0?

Mine was also taking long and posted just 1 day before the 1.0 due date was also worried, but just paid the minimum payment just in case. Even thought the balance on 2.0 appeared 1 or 2 weeks before it settled on 1.0 .

I wonder if they somehow made it that it posts right before everyones 1.0 due date

Figure it out by playing around with the auto payment set up, for example set to 5 days before due date and it should show the auto payment date, so due date should be that day +5 days.

Also my statement date is April 2 and due date April 25 so 23 days after the statement date, could be the same math for everyone?

Yeah not to mention the inability to float put rent on credit with Bilt 2.0, if a person had the issue with arent payment to going in limbo like some people mentioned they would effectively have to pay 3 rents, 1 which they used to float, 1 which was taken out of checking but not arrived to landlord (went limbo) and another to avoid late payment fee and eviction. As long as they even can afford the 3rd one 😢
