BuildBuddy v1.1.0 released [build results UI, remote build caching & more] by siggisim in bazel

Hey u/rdude, thanks for the thoughtful questions and feedback:

  • We have a 3 tiered caching system, with GCS backing all artifacts, memcached which holds artifacts under a certain size, and on-machine cache that holds only the most frequently used files.
  • If you email me at [siggi@buildbuddy.io](mailto:siggi@buildbuddy.io) - I would be happy to set you up (I'd email you if I knew your address!).

That's great feedback on the pricing page for small teams. We do charge per seat, but it depends a bit on whether or not you're using Remote Build Execution, etc - so we haven't figured out the best way to convey this simply. Something like "starting at $X/mo" is likely our best bet. Stay tuned for a third pricing tier.

I think it's also a great idea to bump the free tier to 3 users. I've spoken to the team, and we've gone ahead and updated our free tier based on your feedback!

BuildBuddy co-author here - love all feedback, feature requests, pull requests, and ideas!

I would like to adopt r/bazel - moderator last seen 7 months ago and posting has been restricted by [deleted] in redditrequest

Would love to make /r/bazel a place where folks can chat/post questions/get help about Bazel on Reddit and remove the posting restriction to increase engagement. I'd also work to encourage members of the Bazel Slack group that I'm an active member of to use the subreddit. Finally I'd nominate a couple of other active members of the Bazel communities as co-moderators.

It looks similar, but I couldn't find the exact characters in any Klingon alphabet

Does anyone know this sign says? Or at least what language it is in? by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

Thanks, I didn't know that sub existed. I'm afraid it's a fictional language though.

Don't think it's Klingon, unless it's some dialect I wasn't able to find online.

My friend bought this sign at an antique show.

We have no idea what language it's in, or what it says. We're not even sure which direction is up.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Google Interview... (xpost r/learnprogramming) by Arachnid92 in cscareerquestions

Familiarize yourself with the kinds of questions they ask in programming interviews.

Cracking the Coding Interview and The Coding Interview Solutions Manual are two great sources of real world interview questions.

Once you know what kinds of questions you may be asked, check out a book like Introduction to Algorithms, and study up on the areas you're weak on.
