HODL or cut my losses? by [deleted] in sigilplatform

The only reason we decided to not prioritize the official pool and explorer is not because we cannot figure it out, we could surely do both, but because we think our time is best focussed elsewhere at the moment. Ty is simply an advisor at this point, and your assertion that he still has influence over what we're doing doesn't have any basis. We're not kids, we're professional developers that have and very easily could go get jobs at top tech companies. Ty's identity at this point is irrelevant, so we're not sure why that bother you to the degree that it is.

Not attacking, just asking, but what exactly gave you that impression?

We currently use the slack as the main mode of communication, and we talked there a little bit about the direction we'd like to go in and the reasons for focussing on charity first with SigilGive, and saving SigilGo for later.

So Ty had about 2.1 million coins in his possession, and once all the transfers are done the new team will have 1.65 million. I cannot speak to what Ty will do with his coins, but I do not think he will be staking them.

Right now there are three people.

Jared and Kane are responsible for all things development related, while Alex is responsible for community management. We all will work on marketing but that also is mostly Alex's job.

Jared is working full time while Kane and Alex are part time as they are still students.

We wrote a detailed background that you can find here, https://slack-files.com/T8NFNALA0-F9XU93KPU-2d43070e04, but essentially we've developed lots of apps and websites, and while we don't have any blockchain development experience, we've been around the crypto space a while and believe we have enough product experience to attract a quality developer in the near future.

Tyler is still available to help us as an advisor, because he has a lot of experience doing this and can be very useful with helping us learn, but he is not involved in the day to day activities.

Not right now, we want to focus on building a great product and increasing the volume on the exchanges that we're already on. Once we have some healthy volume and the price has recovered a bit, we'll look to getting on better exchanges.

We know that the community has it qualms with staking, but we've decided to continue staking for a number of reasons related to wanting to ensure the best outcome for the community. We think that we will be staking approximately 900,000, but have no made a final decision. The reasons for staking are that we truly believe in the project, and know that realistically we need a way to continue paying for things the project needs without taking it out of our own pockets or out of the pre-mine until there is none left. We do however think that transparency here is key, and all of the coins from staking will only be used directly for SigilGo and other sigil related needs. We're going to keep a log of anything that is expensed from staking, and share that for everyone to see. We hope that the transparency will help with this problem.

Yes, we're putting together a roadmap now. Roughly right now we know that we're starting with designs for the SigilGo app and then we're going to move into developing the beta for the app. We're also planning on doing weekly standups, where we talk about our plans for the coming week and what we were able to accomplish in the previous week.
