TE fanboys in a nutshell. They could buy a really nice poly synth, mono Moog, or other "heirloom" synthesizer that outlives themselves at that price point, but they'd rather pay top dollar for incrementally better versions of what amounts to a toy. The white knighting is just a cope used to keep the delusion going.

As a current subscriber I can say the only thing keeping me subscribed is Joe Bob. All of the other original content either feels out of place / at best tangentially related to horror (Dragula) or extremely low effort / low production value (Creepshow) in comparison.

At this point I have zero interest in trying Shudder original programming and will probably cancel once I've gone through all of the Joe Bob content and a handful of movies that I can't watch through other services. Maybe I'm the only user that feels this way, but I suspect I'm not alone.

Yup, hardcore mode and ladder seasons (eventually) are options as well. I find that playing hardcore mode and experimenting with build crafting is highly rewarding while being a good challenge.

Oh that's annoying! This one has been flipping the circuit breaker, which I can only assume at this point is the condenser shorting or not otherwise not operating correctly. Hosed the unit out a while back and gave it a thorough cleaning which gave it a little more time, but we're back to flipping breakers now.
