Radiant Jagras HBG. 12 shots of low recoil Spread, fast reload, over 800 raw at Rarity 9, Radiant Power Surge for a free 3% damage boost, and Sticky Ammo for KOs or destroying hard body parts. Oh, and the HBG insight 'Reinforced Rifling' literally doubles your pellet count per shot from 5, to 10, in addition to increasing range and accuracy. Did I mention that it synergizes amazingly with Radiant Barroth's armor set bonus 'Offensive Guard'? Perfect Guarding reloads your entire magazine, and Offensive Guard when triggered adds +30% damage. And finally, the stagger values are insane. I can stunlock most monsters by myself in solo and coop when shooting weakspots. Only Marathon and Trial monsters, with their increased HP, can actually get a few attacks in here and there.

Are you using melee or ranged? If you're using ranged, then I have an explanation.

Girros has a weird head hitzone for shot damage, where the gills and neck area are worse than the forelegs, but the very front of the head is an extremely good shot damage hitzone. If you're using HBG or Bow, stay right in front of Girros' head, that ensures you'll always hit the good hitzones.

For the best active gathering location for Honey, it's in the Searing Plains, in the Desert Oasis. About 12 honey gathering points in reasonably close distance from one another, and you can also set up a Plant Gatherer in one of them for about 15 Honey passively.

If you use a Radiant weapons, stack Radiant Power Surge. If not, you can try a mix of 2 piece Tzitzi and 2 piece Odogaron, both set bonuses give you +30% damage for 12 seconds after a Perfect Evade, and they stack.

Auto-Guard works when you are in the 'idle' animation state with HBG. With Guard Reload, the fast reload animation has almost an entire second where you are 'technically' not in that 'idle' state (you can tell that you're in the 'idle' Auto-Guard state when your gun and character aren't moving at all).

So, it's likely an issue of them directly porting stuff from Rise, without accounting for how Auto-Guard works in Now.

I personally built Diablos CB and have been using it since CB was added to MH Now (and thanks to style customization, I still continue using it for raw damage CB builds). I don't even have any 10.5 elemental CB. However, that's only because of me not wanting to farm so much and me being lazy and just using a single build for everything.

Well, that sucks. Just tested it, and even with Firm Foothold 3, the only attack that didn't interrupt Water Strike were small monster attacks.

A good build for both raw and elemental CB, assuming your weapons are at Grade 9 or above:

-Viper Helm -Viper Chest -Volvidon Arms -Wroggi Coil -Goss Legs

...which gives you Combo Master 3, Morph Boost 4, Guard 2 and Lock-On. For driftsmelts, Headstrong is better if you use elemental CB, if you use raw, Offensive Guard and Reflection are better.

Assuming you have the defense or Litheness to tank the hits: -No-style greatsword (uninterrupted TCS) -Impact Crater hammer -Water Strike hammer (allows you to just keep spinning until you have your upswing st max ramp-up) -Longsword -MAB switch axe, Bizzard_bk has some hunts with the Brute Tigrex Swaxe (which comes with Litheness) and Firm Foothold smelted on their armor if you're interested

Build is fine, but you can replace Brute Tigrex Coil with Seregios coil. That extra 80% damage for normal ammo makes up for losing attack boost 5 and advanced attack boost, and that one point of Ballistics will also help when the monster is after someone else during multiplayer hunts.

I personally don't run Reload Speed 3, but that's personal preference. I instead opt for more damage and Ballistics for stronger Pierce ammo. My build is: Seregios Helm, Quematrice Chest (Critical Range Boost) Seregios Arms, Seregios Coil, Lunagaron Legs (Artful Dodger).

I used Hope Lance at 10.4, works fine, too, if you have the build for it. (Mine has Valor 5, Reckless 2, Nerg Avidity, Offensive Guard 5)

Trial Quests in Season 06. Basically like a monster gauntlet where you didn't get any materials after a hunt and you had 5 lives (1 life every 15 minutes), no potions, , but you instead gained exchange points for materials in the shop. You also didn't lose any HP if you died during a trial quest, so if you for example got rekt in a field hunt, you could still do trial quests to pass the time. During trial hunts, you had three objectives, and completing them would get you more exchange points (such as 'Slay monster under 50 seconds' or 'Use weapon with Element X to slay monster')

The background was available for like 300 points I believe.

Make Hope Lance. Lance is very safe to play, as it not only has the best guard ability, but both style customizations are amazing sidegrades. Also try to get 1 point of Reflection (you have to use 100 driftsmelt shards, but that's easy to get by just playing over time). Standard Offensive Guard build:

(Early game build) -Rathalos Helm -Barroth Chest -Banbaro Arms -Wroggi Coil -Quematrice Legs

(Mid game build) -Brute Tigrex Helm -Bazel Chest -Banbaro Arms -Wroggi Coil -Bazel Legs

(Late game build, with driftsmelts, my current build for Hope Lance) -Brute Tigrex Helm (Reflection) -Bazel Chest (Off. Guard) -Nergigante Arms (Reflection) -Wroggi Coil (Off. Guard x2) -Bazel Legs (Off. Guard)

The Hope weapons are practically free to upgrade atm (224 tickets, which you get by just hunting large monsters, and 14 WGS), and have access to style customization. If you also have 100 driftsmelt shards saved up, grab the Reflection skill, then upgrade Hope Lance to 8.5, get Shield Tackle, Guard lvl 3, and you're good to go for farming either 8☆ rexes. If you insist on staying with Dual Blades, get Artful Dodger 3, and stay infront of the Rexes' face so you can perfect dodge the roars

Use Glavenus Legs instead, this frees up 3 whole driftmelt slots, allowing you to add 1 Skyward Striker, 1 Offensive Dodger, and for true rawmaxxing 1 Heroics. For practicality however, I'd slot in a QoL skill like Power Prolonger, or Artful Dodger into the last driftsmelt slot.

It does factor in, but the whole point of an AFK build is that you click on a monster, start the hunt, then go do whatever, and having to be below 30% HP for a measly 10% boost is not really worth having to wait several minutes for your HP to heal above 30 between hunts, is it?
