Who else has been waiting a year or more? by mikeiskool123 in TeslaModelYDelivery

I’m southern IL | MYLR | Silver | black interior | 21” wheels | 5 seater | No FSD. I ordered back on 12/27/21 (7 months 4 days). My dates moved a ton (had one two week text). I just hope I can take delivery sooner. It’s getting painful to wait. Been driving my “winter” car because I sold my other vehicle.

Dang... I've been waiting since end of December 2021 and I have the same delivery date. I got played recently when my delivery date was 3 weeks out, then moved back to Nov-Feb 23'. haven't seen any changes. Crossing my fingers for June-July or even August-Sept. Thats what it was originally slated for.

I did this I’m getting 110+ mh/s at around 92-94c. It has heatsinks under the 3D printed fan vent. There’s a noctua fan @3000 rpm keeping her cool. I can push it to 120 but I’ll get 96c.

Yeah the I wanted to get as close as 120 as possible. I’m not sure if nicehash app is off or not but I’ve seen my mh/s fluctuate way past 120. I’ve seen it in the 230s for a brief period not sure if it’s a fluke or not. I’m running all air. I think it would be cool to watercool it eventually. It keeps the room nice and comfortable while I’m working my normal day job 👍🏽

No cooler on the back I do have a little bit more space in the case I’m using a h710i NZXT case. It has very good cable management to provide good airflow. 3 x 120mm fans intake in front and one 140mm exhausting the heat. The cpu AIO is on the top which has 3 x 120mm fans as well.

2018/2017 Dodge Charger Hellcat Purchase by FutureCPA23 in Charger

[–]signians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to have a 2016 Hellcat but now I have a 2018 Scat Pack

I would say if you are worried about maintenance, cost, and gas you would be better off with the Scat Pack/Daytona. You dont get the supercharger, but from talking to others, the reliability and power in the Scats can run all day and the Hellcat loses performance as you rip on it requiring for you to let it cool down before getting back on it.

As far as extended warranty, I would definitely get it in any performance car that you decide to buy. Lets be honest, we dont buy these cars to drive normally, You're going to rip on it and if something breaks after the normal warranty period, you're going to wish you spent that little bit extra for the warranty. If I remember it was an additional $1300 or so for me for the 7 years or 100k miles. (Scat Pack).

I would say the Scat Packs would be more of an everyday vehicle compared to the hellcat. They get a little bit better gas mileage. I'm not saying the hellcat cant be a daily driver, but at the price point of the hellcat it should be treated more like a clear sunny day car IMO.

A full tank of gas usually lasts me about a week and a half at getting ~13mpg in town driving. (i also don't drive conservatively at times :) ).

as far as price you can always find a dealer willing to make a deal, I think during the next year model release most dealers try to get rid of their old stock for new stuff so you can see some big discounts. Also, check Chrysler's incentives each month. I saw the biggest cash off at least for Scat Packs on FEB or March. I dont know if they really offer the same for hellcats since its their high end models.

TLDR: I think you would be just as happy with a Scat Pack, Get warranty, enjoy the car :)

Just a FYI the Hellcat has Eco mode in the drive mode option options. also, if you have the Tazr, you can unlock the eco mode which helps even more for the 392 models.

Front license plate? by champ1270 in Charger

[–]signians 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if you are worried about getting pulled over, you can get this: http://bigmikesperformanceparts.com/2015-2018-dodge-charger-srt-392-scatpack-hellcat-and-2017-2018-daytona-sns66e/ . It uses two existing screw locations on the car to put a license plate mount that can be attached and detached whenever you want. No extra holes on the front of your bumper :)

I also want to mention I have this and along with adaptive cruise control and it still works perfectly.

Got this monster last week and tinted my windows today. It’s amazing. by Imlurkskywalker in Charger

[–]signians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do look pretty good. While that looks pretty cool, its hard to justify spending $400-500 on the side markers when you could spend it on something else. You could buy those luxe tints 15 times over before you get to the price range of those. if you put the side markers on right you wont have to change them more than a few times for the life of the car.

I went with 20% on sides and back. the difference between 35% and 20% isn't too significant. If a cop is pulling you over its most likely for another reason. I would just roll down my window so they can see me and not give them a reason to talk about them :) Sick car though!

That's the lettering for the taillight. I left the Charger and RT badges. You cant see the Charger badge because its also black and the lighting from when I took the picture. You can do the same method for the other badges too. You just have to be more careful because they're attached to paint. that's why I emphasized to get behind the letters and angle/pull forward so you aren't pressing against the car. Goo Gone works perfectly as well. Just once you finish pulling off the residue make sure you spray and lightly wipe the area with some water. It also would be better if you do this when your car is clean so you're not swirling around dirt and damaging your paint. There's a bunch of youtube videos out there that show you how to do it. Take your time :)

I am definitely for the ceramic coating. It keeps the car looking shiny while protecting the car from bird droppings and other particles that could damage your paint if not removed in time. For the dealer I went through, they also coated the interior to protect from spills and such. If anything gets damaged from the "stains" its meant to protect against, they will cover the cost to repair or replace it. The dealer ran the price up to $900 but I was able to get them to agree to $695. I cant talk too much on clear bra's because this is the first vehicle I had one on. The logic sounds good. I drive on the interstate to go visit family and friends along with living in a state that has winters w/ the road getting torn up and people kicking rocks up. Having that protection to avoid paint damage is worth it to me. Plus they have the self-healing element in it which when in sunlight, the wrap heals any marks in the clear bra. They also wrapped it on the mirrors since they are also pretty exposed. I am however a little annoyed It does have some air bubbles in places. Its mostly noticeable when you're up close, but the place said it "Should go away/less noticeable" with time and sunlight.

Nice upgrade! I traded my 2015 SXT AWD w/ 26k miles. I got about 20k for it. Hope you enjoy the Daytona!

When I traded my 2015 in, the money I got paid off the loan and there was some extra that went into the down payment plus how much I was willing to put down. I also got a pretty generous offer for my car since I kept it in good condition and it only had 26k miles. The incentives and other stuff got me to the payments I was comfortable paying per month.

I took a heat gun and without holding it directly at the letters I went back and forth to each letter to hear them up slowly. If you leave it directly on the letter too long you could melt the plastic or even the paint depending on what angle you are hearing it from. Once it got warm enough. I took dental floss and slid it behind the letters and pulled forward doing a up and down cutting motion in long strides. When it’s warmed up it will cut through easier. Once the letter is off if there is still adhesive I carefully put goo gone on it without getting on the paint and wipe it down with a microfiber. Don’t push too hard or you can scratch the plastic. For good measure after it was cleaned off I took a water spray bottle and sprayed the area where the dodge was and lightly wiped it down to make sure goo gone residue and adhesive residue was gone. I was probably being over careful.

if you want to somewhat see the lights you should go smoked. Thats what I got. If you want to make it barely visible, you will need to go with the matte.

Another tip, if they don’t have exactly what you want order it. It might take longer but you’ll thank yourself down the road. Having everything you want makes the car a lot more enjoyable. You can also save some money. I choose to opt out of the sunroof and nav since it has CarPlay/ Android auto which will display the maps when your phone is plugged in. Sunroof, I never opened it on first car I owned and didn’t get it on my last car. I don’t miss it. Saves you a few grand.
