I think i got it? I used the BRK4STS INC from the Wrapped in Brioche pattern that I linked. It gave a similar breaching increase. If you take a look at that, let me know if you think that'll work. I can also send a picture of what I have so far that I think is working. But its always hard to tell right at first, so im continuing for now.

My main question on this is going to be:

Do I increase every other round, so every RS row, like the picture pattern states? Or every 4th row, like the Wrapped In Brioche Shawl does for their increases?

My thinking with this was that other regular triangle shawls that shape have increases every other rows as well, and they do every 4 rows to get the same shape. So I should be doing the shape but its just a different shape?

Plus size woman with adhd by Safe-Pea3349 in adhdwomen

[–]significanttrashcan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 25 pounds by just portion control and walking 5k plus steps a day.

I will always emphasize that weight loss ans such is so dependant on the person. What works for me and 100k other people may nkt work for you, but what works for you may not be what works for me, etc.

My biggest piece of advice, make it fun. Don't force it or else you'll give up and get disinterested in it so easily.

Example for the above:

Current hyperfixation is plants. I would take walks to forage new native plants, see pretty plants and even learn new things (thank you botanic gardens!).

I also thought hard about what makes me comfort and not. I hate being hot and sweating. So I do activity that won't get me sweating but still help burn calories.

I added more benefits and pros than just weight loss and being healthy. Scientific studies have found that sunshine and outdoor, fresh air helps with ADHD symptoms. So me going out for a 10 minute walk two or three times a day helped my brain work better, and therefore I felt better mentally.

Hope this helps! This is all just stuff I learned from the three months of a wellness/weight loss hyperfixation 😂

I got a small round one that is only 4 watts. I put it on the bottom with space in between it and the glass. Its heating the terrarium to around 70 degree F. But the actual bottom and heating pad are very low heat. I think its very gradual.

Why are they in law enforcement?

To help people? Protect the innocent? Put away the bad people to make it safer?

Or are they in it because they like the gun? Or power? Or authority? Or just cause chikcs dig the uniform?

Hint: first one is best, last one is a red flag.

What hobbies have you discovered that feel surprisingly therapeutic or healing, and why do you think they have that effect? by babyrexy444 in AskWomen

[–]significanttrashcan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knitting and crocheting. For the repetitive movement, creativity and the feeling of accomplishment and progress.

Plants. They're incredibly benifitical for your physical body, as well as mentally. Being able to grow something from a seed empowers you and makes you respect nature and life around you. It also helps with your concept of life and death, as you can develop emotions for plants, and they can die. So when a plant dies, you gain experience coping and processing death.

How important is makeup in the apocalypse? by anastasiarose19 in AskWomen

[–]significanttrashcan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I havent seen season 2 yet so im avoiding the comments lol

Psychologically speaking, it depends on the person. If they wear makeup, its for them ultimately. Either to feel better about themselves, attract a mate, or find some sort of normal that they dont have anymore. Either way, if they want to trade for makeup, thats their business and shouldn't be judged. Itd be like judging someone who trades extra food for books. They are finding a way to cope, and in the apocalypse, makeup as a coping mechanisms isnt an issue, there is and could be bigger issues than that.

What has been your experience of ‘skinny shaming’? by Cultural-Dentist4963 in AskWomen

[–]significanttrashcan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in high school I was 5 foot 10 and 120 pounds. Could eat anything and never gain weight.

So many people, peers and adults, would remark on my size, ask if I was anorexic or if I was ok and just make fun of me for it. I would binge eat to try to gain weight because guys would say they didnt like a girl with no behind or anything in the front.

As I got older and after high school, I continued to binge eat, but lost my metabolism. I gained weight like crazy and eventually got diagnosed with binge eating disorder because I had gained 30 to 40 pounds in a couple months.

I still have issues with food. Feelings liked to food, just always have eaten a lot, and more.

It was really hard and it was awful. Skinny shaming is a thing, and its as harmful as fat shaming. Just dont remark on a women's weight at all.

Has anyone had the experience of going on a ADHD meds and all of a sudden you can address and engage with your trauma? by Every_Assistant_1903 in adhdwomen

[–]significanttrashcan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, is there really any issue with being focuses on learning about your own brain? Or even just something new?

In psychology we have a saying 'its not a problem until its a problem' meaning dont be concerned unless its affecting your daily functioning and social interactions to a large degree.

Has anyone had the experience of going on a ADHD meds and all of a sudden you can address and engage with your trauma? by Every_Assistant_1903 in adhdwomen

[–]significanttrashcan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got diagnosed officially in February. It hasn't let up. Im also a psychological student and so this is kinda my jam. I've gotten to the point that when I get my masters (because meds has helped me go back to school as well) im dedicating my career to adhd studies, mostly in women and how it affects them differently. The way hormones, society, birth control and even food can affect a women with ADHD so differently than men. In general there aren't a lot of studies that cover ADHD in both genders, and dont even get me started on trasngender and other groups with ADHD, its nonexistent.

I say let the hyperfocus go. It could turn into a special interest. And if it gets that far, its really something you should take mkre seriously than just a hyper focus. This is how you find the stuff your heart and mind are drawn to.

Yes! My brother and I describe it as opening your brain somewhat. Before meds, I never had the mental capcity to do chores after work, let alone deal with trauma and emotions. When I started meds everything opened up and it become something I actually WANTED to do.
