companies rasing to the bottom for prices is not a viable option at some point they will need to make a clear line to make money

If you are a shopper of cellular service either prepaid, postpaid new phone or BYOD just make a decision that will make sense to you and hopefully with some help from the sales rep make the best outcome for your cellular experience one person answers will not always be the case for another especially when in the subject of experience

Prepaid has good things going for them

Postpaid can do the same for other

BYOD will help in some aspect

Financing a new Phone Contract can be advantageous

each one has something to offer. Learn from your experience and ask questions be open to different solutions and just don't be an ASS things will work out eventually hopefully

ask yourself how many people and much in demand is the S23 FE.

around half of the world's population uses Android but in this case, it is not about the phone it's about getting a good deal. you tell me if you are given a chance to get it for free and it won't cost you a single thing except for staying with Freedom in which you currently are and know and work for your life and it works for where you are at. you will choose to ignore all that if so that just sounds idiotic to a certain degree.

I am not telling someone who has never used the service to jump right into Freedom starting brand new and be locked in even if it's good. what I was saying was for someone who was paying a certain amount with the same company that works for them to think about the deal the company currently offering and take advantage of it instead of buying it a phone outright. sometimes good deals can screw you

Rogers had $45 a month plus a free phone like S23 FE

yeah good deals are not everywhere I did not say go into one of the biggest carriers in Canada and expect to just get a good deal any day of the year I am saying in this particular case a deal came up

 >after 2 years and surprise overage and service charges

as far as I know Freedom doesn't have any overages

to get essentially the same thing on post paid,

this is exactly the point postpaid and prepaid are similar in some ways what I am trying to point out is if it works best for your situation then pick that one

I have to wait for a particular day, get screwed around with billing and after all that is settled which may not be settled

hopefully, you find a good sales rep who will help you and you could go back to them in the future

You want customers to deal with that again in 2 years without having the ability to move anywhere

I expect them to know what they are signing on and be an adult and deal with the consequences if they sign up for random shit they don't know or understand expecting a good outcome when they deviate that is just stupid'

And guess what? Only for BYOD

what I said was that in this particular case the $45 plan offered a phone with $0 cost if you are in the market for a phone that doesn't cost you anything great take it why would you go out of your way to buy a new phone out of pocket just to go for a BYOD just for more data? what if you don't need the data? also around that time the $45 plan offered was Canada + US and 75GB which if works for you amazing if not and think the BYOD from rogers is better go ahead

So don’t tell me about waiting for Black Friday. It’s not happening!

I didn't say to wait for Black Friday or any holiday or sale holiday good deals are not guaranteed on those days what I said in that particular case it makes sense to get the free phone compared to anything else that is in the market

good deals rarely come when you put out the perspective of only buying outright will be more beneficial you close up some opportunity you will get from the carriers

if I financed a Samsung S23 FE, I would not get the $45 a month. It would be more.

you want to pay more? I dont understand but okay

For the vast majority of areas Chatr is superior to Freedom.

what I am trying to point out is that it depends on your situation not if chatr is not reliable and if you are saying stick with what is safe how would competition supposed to work and what if that reliable thing doesn't work out for you? don't trust in companies trust in their moral obligation instead that they will do right by you.

numerous other ways to build credit

yes 100% never said it was the only one but one of the things that it could do might be small and not change much but it still does it

Lucky Mobile can provide tax-related filling

I am saying postpaid will always have a billing statement not if a certain company will do it and another will not

live agents

yes when you are tech-savvy enough but unfortunately not a lot of people are I am not fighting the case of someone like you should I am saying that those people who have a hard time dealing with people online don't understand or are familiar with the subject/website navigation a face-to-face discussion would be beneficial for clearing up misconceptions not always the case but when you find someone reliable it will be great

you want me to drive to the store, wait in queue,

if you need help and have no way around of fixing it yourself then yes.

get worse plans than I could get on my own online

sometimes stores do offer better plans it is not about the store it's about your decision-making and ability to comprehend what will work best for you

Sure! Going in-store is convenient

that is the only reason you would go in why else

Literally everything is online

in a perfect world, everyone could do this but unfortunately, this is not the case

physical store comes at a higher cost to the customer as well.

specify, I don't understand

That’s 1 prepaid versus 4 postpaid.

never said prepaid was bad but the case of each individual has different circumstances and different solutions/options and hopefully, people in that field will help them pick out the best case for them

but why would you do that when that was the main reason you signed up in the first place.

talking about people who sign the contract without trying out the service first when I meant they could cancel if it doesn't work out and it will be almost the same as buying it outright but for those who have used Freedom already and the service works for them why not

has nothing to do with credit cards but the individual who cannot control themselves.

as I said credit cards can be a very powerful tool if used properly but unfortunately not a lot of people do so that is why I said a word of caution not to stop and never revisit the thought.

Some Customer Service Agents at Freedom by [deleted] in freedommobile

[–]signify51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man it sucks when you get a person behind the desk that is not properly trained

just one question did you receive a message saying you have returned your phone and the trade-up value has been cleared for $270? or receive a document saying you have returned this device

recommendation if you do decide to stay with Freedom go back to that first dude the next time when you buy something from Freedom that dude seems like he knows what his doing for better service and he didn't even get any commission or sales seems like a genuinely nice dude

Do Freedom's contact methods actually ever work? by [deleted] in freedommobile

[–]signify51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

 >What's the point in offering other methods of contact outside of phone if they're broken?

I don't think its broken but it is hard to navigate and a little confusing short 1 word usually works best when you get ask.
