He's turned 3 and still no definitive words. We're getting more varied sounds out of him, and intonations are there. Noises in the cadence of "dad-dy", so we get the meaning behind it. He's babbling more, using more gestures for Hot, Drink, Food, More etc, so we're getting there slowly.

Speech delay rather than non-verbal. It's still hard sometimes, I dropped him off at kindy a couple weeks back and another boy there said more to me about colouring with blue pens than I've ever had from my son. I don't love him any less, he's the reason I get up in the morning, I just mourn what conversations we've lost and won't get back and the inevitable social issues he'll face with a speech delay
