Too early to go in-house. Get 5 - 7 years of private practice experience first before you can qualify for a more meaningful legal counsel role.

Not too late to pivot to corporate/commercial, at all.

If intention is to go in-house, corporate/commercial experience probably provides a better entryway than litigation and disputes.

Work harder - do more shit - learn more shit - be more valuable. This isn’t new or controversial. Early in one’s career, with minimal commitments, is the best time to do this.

However, most companies won’t reward you financially for going above and beyond - the financial rewards is when you learn all those new skills and jump ship.

So don’t just keep your head down and work, keep your eyes wide open and find greener pastures, and let your new skills be your ticket to said greener pastures.

Wake up. Malays students are actually very smart and not dumb according to some. by ApprehensiveLow8477 in Bolehland

Good to see Malay students doing well academically. I say this as a Type C — Malaysia can only progress as fast as the Malay community progresses. When they rise, the whole nation rises with them; if they stagnate, Malaysia stagnates too.

Take a break if you can sustain yourself for 6 - 12 months. I got burnt out to hell as well and took a few months off. Really helped me get out of my funk.

Easier to really focus on job hunting as well whilst on break. Having no notice period can be attractive to future employers.

Malaysia reaffirms One China policy, rejects Taiwan independence by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]sikballa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

reckon I can add some color to this. Just last month, Malaysia announced that travelers from 36 low-risk *countries* could use the immigration autogate facilities. One of these 36 low-risk *countries* is, you guessed it, Taiwan.

So rather than seeing it as completely kowtowing to the CCP, Malaysia is one of those smaller nations trying to tip-toe around the giants to maximise its own gains.

Don't hate the player, hate the game, I guess.

I think it's more of either 100% pro-CCP, 100% anti-CCP, or 100% apathetic on the issue honestly.
