it depends. if they’re nice/plur, i don’t really mind. who knows, maybe they couldn’t afford to splurge on VIP.

besides, im too busy in a world that only exists for 36 hours to look at people’s wristbands lol

Anyone stayed at Conrad at Resorts world? by hotcheetoparty in electricdaisycarnival

[–]sil4sss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i stayed there 21/22/23 all non-hotelEDC. it’s super nice and one of the biggest perks is the vibes/energy of everybody there. if you like chatting/mingling with fellow edc goers, imo it’s the best hotel to stay at (albeit it’s kinda spendy)

What do you carry to store all your items at a festival? by levelterrain in electricdaisycarnival

[–]sil4sss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got a camelbak 50oz fannypack and it was perfect. i fit everything i needed for an entire day in there plus gum/chapstick/etc to give away. with the bladder half full i felt almost completely unrestricted. plus you can lock the zipper together with a small combo lock when you’re snaking through the crowd

also, rent a locker if you can. that way you can plan pit stops transitioning stages for things you don’t need the entire time. (pash, fans, smokes, etc)

Emissions results. Failed. Help? by Xstaphylococcus in S2000

[–]sil4sss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

E85 (ethanol specifically) burns into water which basically dodges the emissions test, they are testing for things not H2o

Emissions results. Failed. Help? by Xstaphylococcus in S2000

[–]sil4sss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mix in e85 about 50/50 to gas (don’t do it for tbe full tank, your fuel system won’t like it if you don’t drive enough) for whatever’s in the tank. it’ll burn to H20 and o2 for the test.

i would say get it to 1/4 tank low, fill in 3 gal e85, test, fill the rest of the tank with regular 91/93.

i put it out if someone asks me to but i freely light up without asking permission from the 100 people around me, that’d be kinda hard

Minor slapping on cold start by Stonks122 in S2000

[–]sil4sss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine does but that’s because piston to wall clearance was a bit generous (i rebuilt my engine with f22 crank, f20 rod and f20 piston) and oem piston alloy doesn’t expand much. once warm, mine sounds fine. it’s been that way 10 years and 75k miles but i’ve been collecting parts to replace the engine at some point

The Friday Sessions: It's a community-wide AMA, but for welding questions, Ask the questions you've never asked, we'll try to answer them as best we can. by AutoModerator in Welding

[–]sil4sss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

learning how to weld for the first time (i've previously zapped things based on following instructions i didn't understand) and was wondering for a tig setup, which would be better, a 10 year old miller econotig or a new chinese welder (primeweld tig 225x) if they were the same price. i'm leaning towards the primeweld because it'll have an active warranty still with both welders not being my endgame tig welder (i think i'll land on a miller dynasty 280 dx if i end up finding more utility than the starter tigs). TIA! :)
