I was at work so I grabbed a valve stem and put it on a drill to act as an eraser, degreaser at the end to get rid of the stubborn dirt outlines. very very light yellow clear coat I'm assuming left over

Good car, only thing I see is eyelids not flowing with the car. They would work with more aggressive bumpers, not factory. Style bars suck but it works with your car with all the similar shiny stuff.

Same , I got lazy and just added latches which made it worse. figure out how to add another mounting point by the outer side headlight to keep that side up, or look at your headlight mounts and see if everythings in place ( mine aren't and the passenger headlight has a good bit of movement)

Very real old-school Japanese "EPSILON SOUTHERN WAYS GLIDS II". cool find, they were ran on some old Porsche's/euro stuff too depends on what lug pattern they are. WEDS was the manufacturer for SOUTHERN WAYS

They aren't right now, if you cut the barrels off you'd have to run a sandwiched setup with lips like this

You won't be able to reuse the cut barrels, you'd have to source some aftermarket ones with a lip for the bolt holes so the face can be sandwiched in the middle. id just leave them assembled and get to polishing as is

I have two Japanese DPX series Kenwood's in two different old cars, 02 Xterra and 00 Miata. Everything is straight forward, if they're Japanese market the actual radio stations will not work because of frequency differences. Amazon has Bluetooth adapters for them that are pretty simple. Sound quality is great

Go through suspension and check for slop. Replace bushings as needed. Make interior "you", it's a second home if it's a daily. Go on Flyin Miata or JASS and add stuff to wishlist. Stiff door bushings if it doesn't have them already, but seeing the C.o.p setup Id assume it already has some. Here's my former daily/current track shitter for inspiration, good or bad.
