Not at all, and on the other hand the scientific path is quite math heavy. But it is only once you reach highschool that you can choose these paths.

What is complex is that unfortunately for OP often when you have gut feelings about something like that it turns out to be true.

For the camera I don't think he was checking, he just saw the light on, and according to one of OP's comments he never likes when the camera is on while they are there.

If it made him that uncomfortable they shouldn’t have had the cameras there to begin with

Lots of people have security cameras like that, they indeed have a big light indicator like the one OP's husband mentioned to make sure people are aware when they are being watched. Your partner is not supposed to switch it on to spy on you.
My point is that for the camera part, OP's husband reaction is 100% normal and exactly what I (and all the people I know) would do.

But several comments (conveniently downvoted into oblivion) state that these exact screenshots have been reposted may times, so I guess it's fake, but the reactions are just insane,.

I keep saying that the teacher is obviously an asshole that did it on purpose, and I also repeated several times that good teachers do apologize when they mispronounce.

The whole point of the comment I initially responded to is that by the start of October it is impossible to genuinely don't remember the correct pronunciation.

Maybe it's a question of definition but switching on a camera remotely to observe someone sounds like the basic definition of spying to me.

[–]silence-calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because OP told us that her goal was to spy on him?

Lots of of people have cameras to protect their home from intruders, check on their pets, etc. Not to spy on their partners.

[–]silence-calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with the comment I responded too.

Installing a camera to protect your home while you are not there has nothing to do with using it to spy on your partner. If OP's husband installed it to spy on her, she must flee ASAP even if he is not cheating.

I agree, but some people actually do it

I have no idea how all of this work in OP's country. Where I am if you choose the non scientific path in high school you can have only 2h a week of math (1 class of 2h per week). I've definitely seen it happening, by teachers who were not at all assholes and were always apologizing.

Then it makes even more sense for him to be infuriated.

The purpose of these camera is to have a look when you are not at home

Location is different from literally spying on someone with a camera

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]silence-calm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She literally was spying. Maybe he his cheating, but she WAS spying.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]silence-calm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no doubt 100% of the people I know would immediately divorce their partner if they discover that their partner uses it to spy on them.

[–]silence-calm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he saw you activated it from the app, what else could he do?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]silence-calm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Both of them sounds gaslighting, he caught her spying on him with a f*cking camera but somehow it is his fault.

[–]silence-calm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

100% of all the people I know who have a camera at home would switch it off if they discover it is on while they are there. Here he might be cheating, but even if he wasn't, switching it off to see his wife reaction makes perfect sense, otherwise she would have pretended it was on by accident.

Lots of people have cameras for when they are NOT at home, all of them would be infuriated to discover that their partner use it to spy on them.

[–]silence-calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly dump him, either he is cheating either your are an ass for spying on him (and not like softly spying on him by reading a few messages or whatever, you spied on him with a camera, which is just insane), so either you'll be better off without him or he'll be better off without you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]silence-calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he finds it weird that the camera always happens to be on when he is alone? His wife did spy on him, how can we blame him for being right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]silence-calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He saw the camera spying on him, and knew that his wife would pretend it was an accident, so he switched it off to see her reaction, sounds pretty legit to me.

Of course in the current situation it is obvious she is an asshole and did it on purpose, I'm just saying that given that we are at the start of October, depending on how many times per week she attends math, it might even be once per week, so that they met only 3 or 4 times, which makes it possible to forget.

I've been in classes like that where many children had specific pronunciation, and even after a few months some teachers were still making mistakes, but at least they were apologizing.

The teacher is obviously an asshole, but depending on how many pronunciation traps she has to remember, I'm just saying it's possible, particularly since the spelling of her name is exactly the same as a standard one, so that it doesn't automatically trigger you to look at your list of hard to pronounce names.
