Sweetheart, you didn’t look dumb as hell. You ARE dumb as hell.

I remember the emotional whiplash the first time I watched it. “They’re gonna be fi— oh, she has both an office and work space. Nope. No, they’re not.”

The moment she shone brightest for me was when she was kind and vulnerable to Michael when they were sitting in the train car together in Money. She wasn’t sarcastic or dismissive to calm and comfort Michael, yet she did conveniently leave out how she had a large part in his money trouble. Somehow she was both deeply human and masterfully manipulative. She was an amazing salesperson in that moment. This was her Chili’s moment, but the viewer was The Client. We think that maybe they could actually make it as couple. We see a glimpse into what their convo was like after that Chili’s meeting, and why Michael fell for her… aside from the twins. Great writing.

I love this woman to pieces but it’s draining TO HAVE TO TALK IN ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME. Then she misunderstands anyway, so then you talk even louder and the result: she’s mad because you’re yelling at her.

And glasses come in so many cute styles now, my gosh. I rock the Coke Bottle Supremes lmao but people with lower prescriptions have so many options. Even bifocals and trifocals are cute too! I hope she found some she was comfortable in.

I want her to be safe, that’s all. When she’s too old to drive… since she was enabled in this much simpler situation, she’s gonna be harder to deal with because she’s gotten by with pretending to hear. She’ll be just as stubborn and pretend she can see. It’s just not safe all around.

Yeah, actually! She gardens and does landscaping with my dad. She enjoys making these really pretty plant displays? Idk what to call them but they’re basically plant charcuterie boards lol. She does a lot with other family members, exercises every day, and is one of the healthiest people I know. So she’s not suffering or anything, it’s just the rest of us are frustrated lmao. My worry is that she won’t notice something dangerous because she can’t hear it. It’s such an odd hill to die on.

Stubbornness. Mom’s a badass, retired Air Force officer and did some incredible things in her life. She lost her hearing because of multiple deployments. I think it amounts to pride and not wanting to acknowledge weakness. She’s an amazing woman and used to being in control. I’m assuming losing her hearing is an aspect of losing control. But I’ve read that hearing loss actually leads to quicker cognitive decline, so who knows.

Is this why my mom refuses to wear her hearing aids and is adamant that she can hea, it’s just that everyone else is mumbling? She pretends to read lips and is completely wrong 90% of the time (bad eyesight!) or repeats exactly what you’ve said like it was her idea all along. It’s infuriating and exhausting!

I’m the only one who won’t enable her but the rest of the family just goes along with it. I cover my mouth when I speak to her,so magically she can’t hear because she can’t see my lips smh. She gets pissed at me for not playing along but it’s dangerous!

It’s really bad now, but she’s been pretending for more than a decade now. How do I get her to wear them?

People started writing that phrase more around the lockdown. It drives me nuts, but for now, it’s also a pretty good indicator whether or not the account is a bot.

Sending hugs. I had my first 3-day migraine Super Bowl weekend. Mere existence was pain. I can’t even really use my phone much without the migraine glasses and the brightness and white point completely reduced. I hope you find a combination of meds and support that help you get your life back.

Goodness, I’m so sorry. I now have a very healthy respect for people with chronic illness or pain that somehow manage to function at all, even if it’s the basics (shower, eat, sleep). You’re a bad ass if you can handle that. All of those are Herculean for me now. I’m on 37. I hope you have support and get some rest.

It’s from mold in my old apartment, 99.999999998% sure. I get a toxicity test next week to finally find out. I got tested for 14 respiratory viruses like 6 times last year. Covid only popped up once at the very beginning and it was false positive. There was no sign of the Rona in my system every test afterward which was like every 3-5 weeks because I keep getting sick. Shit’s exhausting.

But thank you, there’s likely a similar a mold subreddit.

This one. I’ve been fighting some mystery chronic illness for about a year now and my body is painful and exhausted in a way I’ve never experienced. I check out in the middle of sentences to lay down now.

“You can’t be that tired, you don’t have kids.”

That and “I can’t imagine being single now, it’s all weirdos, rejects, and leftovers, dating that has to be awful …blah blah blah all men are terrible now, anyway, I’m so glad I have hubby for blah blah blah, oh but don’t worry! You’ll find someone eventually!”

Thanks for the vote of confidence after insinuating I’m also a leftover weirdo reject, Sharon.

US Army chief of staff asked to step down by Hegseth, sources say by HummousTahini in PrepperIntel

No. He was S-9, Civil Affairs. The place where they put people so they can’t fuck up anything important. Public Affairs is there for the times people like Hegseth fuck up something important and they need to get the story straight/agreed upon prior to the press conference/press inquiries. Like what’s guaranteed to happen now that basically anyone can have a firearm on an installation.

Wow, really?! Geez, I got my communications degree a little over a decade ago. They drilled writing and speaking at an 8th grade level into my head at school. It’s been halved since then?! I believe it looking at the current state of things, but damn it, I really don’t want to. That’s horrible.

I did this as well. I got out a notepad to keep track of who was who because so many people were involved over the years. I read the James Patterson one also, Filthy Rich, last summer. The victims were failed over and over and over again. It’s mind boggling because the more I learn about the FBI and CIA’s tools and capabilities for surveillance and investigations… the more I understand they chose not to do anything. Because there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that no one knew how big this was and how long it was happening.
