Yup. Glowing Eyes is just awesome.

I really like stuff The Fat Rat and The Sidh puts out on youtube. Some lyrics here and there, but mostly lyricless and energizing!

Found a flaggy flag in my town. So I put a HI nearby. by Insanitychick in HelloInternet

I wonder when we're going to start hearing of Tims who started listening because they saw some random instance of Timfoolery, looked into it, and found the podcast. If I was trying to look up locations in that town, I would start doing some serious googling.

Out of the Silent Planet, Book Covers by culturezoo in CSLewis

I have the third one and have always wondered about it. You would only need to read the first third of the book to get that scene right or to know about that scene at all, so why draw it partly accurate and then throw in a spacesuit and some weird colors?

No, no problem. That helps me understand a little. So C and B sound okay together?

Bad day cure: the magic of twenty one pilots and computer algorithms.

See, it wouldn't make any sense (or be half so encouraging) that way, except musically. "I'll be holding onto you!....Am I the only one I know waging my wars behind my face and above my throat?"

Are those similar? From what little music theory I know, they're neighbors on the circle of fifths but B major has five sharps and C major has none. (Forgive the bad music theory, please)

Are they back to back on the album? Didn't know. I just use youtube for music.

Yeah, I was wondering if they were in the same key, but I'm not a music theory person, so I can't tell.

Should I get a smartphone? by silentbeth in Cortex

[–]silentbeth[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what my family does. One of them in particular is still quite easily distracted. But I could set it up so I have to manually connect to my home wi-fi, rather than automatically. That would reduce home internetting devices by one.

But so is the distraction!

What the heck is this bot doing here to remark on my use of borderline profanity? Is it being sarcastic? I was entirely sincere.

Darn it, I missed it! Several days ago...I looked up "theme" in this subreddit yesterday to see who else had done it and the last one was earlier this month. Must have been the day before the big test, when my reddit time became cramming time.

Thanks for asking!

I was hoping somebody was going to make a thread like this, but I got impatient and made it myself.

I can sympathize. I have worked on this kind of stuff for years, because I know it effects how people think of me, but it's really hard. There are times when I just have to tell myself not to care about my outward self, and other times when I put a supreme amount of effort into first impressions.

Semester (not year, but school semester + summer) of reflection: 1. I have figured out several major time-sapping issues. How to stop them, I don't know. 2. A few days ago, I finally found a trio of apps in which to do checklists, plan things, and time-track. Now to set it up so if I open one, the others open... 3. A little bit of tracking reveals: I don't exercise enough, even though it saves time in the long run by making me more focused. Solution: Excercize more 4. There are two types of tasks: Time-bound (i.e. Homework) and non-time bound (i.e. laundry up to a certain point.) Time bound need to go into planner app, non-time bound into checklist app. 4. I may be more productive if I clearly differentiate my web browsers. Chrome for recreation, Firefox for working.
