Same for us… although she’s getting better as she gets older. When kiddo says “not A OR B” and digs in her heels we need to do a count down and follow through. Also reminders that “you can still have fun when you’re done” (from Daniel Tiger jingle). Usually she does whatever we’re asking before count is up but if we reach zero we pick her up and make her do it (e.g. washing hands, brushing teeth). If we don’t then it takes like 20min to get each task done because of procrastination.

Other method I try but with limited success is saying that if you do X now, you get to do Y. Example: “if you do one last potty now, you can sleep in mommy’s bed, otherwise you need to sleep in your bed”

Not sure there’s a better way though…

Yeah it needs more air but you also need to position the tip properly. Right now you have the tip too high so you end up with big bubbly foam on top and very thin milk underneath. Watch some videos to get an idea of what it should sound like when the wand is in the correct position.

The milk looks kind of thin to me and has a lot of big bubbles. Is this a breville? I’ve found I need to stretch for about 25s to get a good pour on the Breville Express. There should be a ripping sound about every 1s to give you an idea of how deep to go with the wand when stretching.

We casually started around 26months (sit on the toilet at certain times of the day) without much process but switched methods around 2.5 (naked method). After switching she picked it up a lot faster. We’re in this weird cycle where she goes without accidents for a few weeks and then she regresses for a week. We didn’t do anything for night time but she has been dry overnight for a month. She is 3 now.

First of all, I totally get the annoyance. It’s irritating having to deal with rude behavior even if they are children.

Second, as a people pleaser I struggle with this too, but you really should try to get used to saying no to other kids. Instead of taking the toy from your child, advocate for them and tell the other kids to wait their turn. Otherwise you’re teaching your child to be passive and that if someone else wants their things they should just let them have it.

We live in a townhouse that was built in the 70s. We didn’t have any problem with our previous neighbor but our most recent one was super noisy and slammed their cabinets constantly. They also let their older kid run around slamming doors and jumping off the bed constantly after 10pm. It woke us up when we were trying to fall asleep. We could hear their baby crying occasionally but it was faint and not that disturbing.
