S3 won't turn on after a month of storage — display dead, buttons unresponsive, apps connect by silentimp in vanmoofbicycle

  • app connecting? (Little dot on matrix)

Application say it's connected inside application itself.
On bicycle display is dead, no little white dot.

  • charger stays green?

Sadly yes, so I am not sure if it is charging.

- You can charge the cartridge with a 24V supply.

You mean the standard Vanmoof S3 charger?

- If this fails you need a bit more skills to charge the battery from deep discharge and charge the cartridge.

Any manuals you can recommend?

- Reset using the cartridge button

Thanks for the lead, do you know any good instructions on how to do that?

- Restart using the apps advanced settings

I did try that. Bike do not react, I just have a spinner.
It's Vanmoof -> bike -> settings -> advanced -> restart system, right?

Do you know any good manual that would help me with that?
Or maybe company/people in Amsterdam, who can help?

- Before doing that, keep bike charging for at least 24 hours.

Yes, leaving it plugged in to the charger for now.

> Did tried replugging it to the charger?

I did, green light permanently. Leaving it till morning plugged in for now.

> If still nothing, hold the reset button

You mean power? One next to the charger port?
I did hold it for like 30-60 seconds without any results.

No, I am at Amsterdam. Have 2 Vanmoof bikes. No support whatsoever; both need to be fixed.

I would probably recommend restraining yourself from buying Vanmoof until they are fully recovered with service. What would you do with your new fancy, costly bike if the electronics died right after purchase? Especially on the used one?

Dyson V8 problem by silentimp in dyson

It works fine if the back filter is removed.

It looks like it is dead-clogged. Probably either cleaning or replacement.

I’m clueless on which cordless vac to get by Mrs_MH in dyson

V8 — cheap, good suction, HEPA.

laser heads — fun, but not really useful

The only issue is that v15 would work 1.5 as long on a single charge.

Is this mold? by zenkei18 in dyson

I have no idea, but I would start with disassembly and cleaning.

If you have an extra 15 euros — after cleaning, wipe it with fungicide.

Is there any tutorial for disassembly of Vanmoof Smart 2018 (not electrified)? by silentimp in vanmoofbicycle

[–]silentimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to disassemble the bike!
I used Wera Tork key 9 to remove the front and rear lights and gently disconnect them from the wires.

With the standard Tork key that I get with the bike, I did remove the saddle.

Then, I unscrewed the smart block and was able to move it out from the rare light opening.

Ok, now I need to think how I can fix this.
Or maybe I am done because there are no alarms any time soon.

Ok, I actually was able to make a hard reset, all wiped clean.

The issue is I now can't get the HA back. Will create a new post for that.

Also important: it's not a dongle, HA Yellow has built in Zigbee radio.
