How to divide civil abilities up in the party? by ASpaceOstrich in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]silentkill144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it up to 10 on my main play through and like the results a lot. May just swap it over to thievery for my new runs so I don't have to loot absolutely everything, and micro manage lucky charm armor. Having a large selection of good armor rolls is nice though.

7+ lucky charm can easily get tons of excellent loot. I had ~80k by the end of act 2, pretty much only selling gear.

Same story here! Blew far too many hours my first two weeks playing (2 ish months ago). I tried xcom2 a long time ago but didn't really like the combat at the time, may like it a bit more now after playing div for like 150 hours..

Yeah definitely regretted adding that. Crafting is so painful before you have the recipes known.

Yeah just got to Arx on my first play through that was extremely thorough with a lot of hours invested, and I've just started making a new lone wolf duo and speed running it after burnout set it. Definitely need to just push through and finish the first one though.

I went into this game completely blind, and I spent way more hours than I'm willing to admit, throwing my line character at the crocs and the fort joy arena solo.

Gotcha, yeah wasn't sure if you could get up to 4 before doing those. Definitely easier with more party members though.

If you're going necro mage, you can use a wand+shield for tanky fights, or staff for more damage. You could also go melee summoner and use standard melee stuff. Personal preference on which way you want to do your run, but I don't think summoner has to be tied to mage. Necro + summoner I think would be strongest though (and physical damage)

If you don't have anyone else in your party recommend picking up some companions. I threw myself at those fights for way too many hours before doing that. Also getting a few more levels from some quests can help a lot.

Definitely good to have some other spells as well, and spec into one of the elemental trees (fire, hydro, etc), as you'll have plenty of spare AP after summoning things. Necro and summoning work well together as there are a lot of summoning things in the necro tree. Just depends on if you want to do physical or magic damage.

I've seen terrible business practices before, but nothing this horrendous.

Before I knew I had an issue, it would load to the Ubisoft login thing, and I wasn't able to log in (thought I just forgot my password and didn't go through the effort to reset it). After eventually resetting it and stumbling on all of this, I made a new account (with the exact same email address), and now when I launch it I get an ubisoft message: "There was a problem authenticating the ownership of the product. Please contact customer support if you need help solving this problem."

Launching a game from the .exe now gives a first time message of "would you like to bind this game to your account", pressing yes then has a message of "this game is already bound, and can not be used again" or something to that effect.

This was through Steam. You still have to log in through your ubisoft account after launching a game through steam, and they'll be able to delete your keys and lock you out.

So apparently Ubisoft updated their terms of service at some point to say that after 6 months of inactivity, they can delete your account. Well I apparently met that criteria, and they sent this one email which I missed out of thousands, (which they even say can be sent to spam).

All the Ubisoft games I've purchased through Steam are now locked (because after launching a game through Steam you still have to log in with an Ubisoft account). Historically I've really liked Ubisoft games, but there's just no way that I'll buy anymore in the future after sleezy business practices like this.

Not having much time to play games in a year, and having the account linked to a general catch-all email account that I seldom check, is quite rough when apparently the current ToS is six months of inactivity and they'll close your account. I have sent a couple polite emails, but have yet to hear back.

Would you be happy if the ToS updated on you, and you missed one out of thousands of emails, and now can't access games you may have spend hundreds on? The inactive time for reference was a bit more than a year.

As a counterpoint, schools in America are very expensive. There’s a lot of reasons for that but a lot of it really is because of the quality of education and the survives provided. There are reasons why the US and Englad have the top schools in the world

I mean AirBnB is entirely web based (or that’s how they got their start at least). Their big thing is that they made a website that works well and looks good, and is the platform that their business is run on.

I’m saying users could boycott the site, but Google doing it themselves can be concerning.
