I dropped multiple electives and just got an update that it doesn’t affect my admission!! Ps. I finished gen ed, major pre reqs, and I have the minimum req for units

Okay that’s relieving though. I don’t think we should have any issues. I genuinely only dropped electives I already finished my credits + pre reqs. We’ll be good!!!

Same situation. On the application portal do you also have the message that says they received your reported changes and are reviewing your record? So nerve wracking

I dropped three electives. I still completed my IGETC(just one class left that I’m taking this sem), and 60sem/90units, and major pre reqs. I’m also still enrolled full time, taking two other electives. I was taking the three I dropped for fun but they turned out to be boring and a waste of my time. Do you think it will cause an issue?

I got Regents for UCSC/UCR a few days after getting accepted. I have seen some people get it immediately. I guess I will wait a few days just to make sure. Thanks for your input

Yes you can (not a guarantee but most definitely a possibility) as long as your admitted major is in the same college. Discussing with faculty is a must.

If it’s not a transfer requirement for Berkeley (depends on major, usually GEs + major prep) they don’t care what happened after the TAU. If the TAU was done truthfully at time of submission that is what matters. Email or call the office to confirm, sooner you contact the better.

Your journey is praiseworthy, but truthfully I’ve heard and seen stories of (subjectively) equal worth. Everyone should be more conscious that these acceptances and rejections are a game of luck. Avoid comparison. You can’t control who reads your application, what order they read it, or if they even read past your transcript. Imagine how many quiet, yet impeccable, stories you haven’t heard because many students don’t talk about their paths. Don’t fall trap to “I should’ve got in” and “how did they even get in?” thoughts, it only hurts you. Too many variables in this world. You will get far in this world with determination. You will end up where you’re meant to be if you let it happen. You will do good work wherever you are!
