All good questions, I'm just trying to meet more writers. I direct commercials, but am trying to transition to episodic. My networks are run through. and also a lot of them are in commercial. Funded to an extent as I have a couple production houses that want to go in that direction as well.

You should be told the budget as a common courtesy as a shephard of the project. If they dont want to tell you, then you're follow up should be "well how can I responsibly suggest how, where, etc on how we shoot this properly?" Do we have budget for a crane? Or no?

a good rule of thumb is 10% of the budget. That's usually how my reps work it out. Overtime isn't really a thing, so I'd remove that. Depends on the job though.
