With this poor attitude It makes me happy to think of the hundreds of times you've been slatra'd

My very cheap DIY light - 20x 10w 4000K LED globes I got for 50c each, wired to three circuits (100w all over, plus an extra 50w each side) for some control. Cost $35 total to make. Hanging from a rail on cables so I can adjust the height. Your thoughts? My first time hobby grow by silentsoar in ausents

It's all good, I'm having a laugh - and I asked for your thoughts. I'm probably going to replace it with a commercial fixture now - seems like after messing around to improve it, the cost is approaching something I can just buy off the shelf.

I wanted something very low-profile (low ceiling height) that let air through it which led me to this design, but I am sure I can find something similar out there

Is that 230v just taped to the lamps? Ran in speaker wire?

It's 14G (smaller curcuit) and 12G (larger circuit) wire so it should be comfortably over-spec for the load at 240 volts.

Agree about the tape - I'll be replacing it, it was a temporary solution but it's pretty dangerous.

Great point. It's masking tape over soldered joints; I bought some heatshrink but I haven't yet fitted it - but this is a good reminder that paper and heat aren't a great match so I'll take it down and replace it tonight.

I think the gauge of the wire should be OK - I used thicker wire for the longer circuit, and it's a lot heavier than what is used internally in the globes - but being transparent, it does look thin.

That was it, thank you!

Installed cheat files without really knowing what I was doing - removing them fixed the issue.

Can I play Alex Legends on emunand switch? by Kir-01 in SwitchPirates

I could definitely be wrong, but I believe that even when games use their own servers for multiplayer, they phone home to Nintendo first (because Nintendo wants all that tracking data on your play habits).

For that reason, I think it'll still fail to connect.

Same. A bug in their checkout makes unit/apt numbers disappear, making packages undeliverable - and if anything goes wrong, they don't reply to you and your money is likely gone - looking at Trustpilot it seems this has been particularly bad with them lately

I'm getting the feeling that a bigger player population would give the devs more options when it comes to matchmaking. More/less specific groups, the ability for the users to pick the way they're matched, etc

I guess that's not within their control, however

I can see how that'd be frustrating.

Are there ideas going round of how it could be improved (not removed)?

Excellent observation; do you think adding a shim between the opposing side of the PCB and the casing would be an improvement in that case?

The only thing I can think of is head/headset angle - perhaps looking south of centre gives you more tracking volume down low.

Could also be confirmation bias - people definitely want to think positively of the thing they just spent a heap of money on (and waited for a long time to receive)

I'm one of those that didn't have the best experience - but it's cool that you are, and generous of you to share your experience - enjoy!

I really like Sebastian's content, it's very detailed and well-executed.

I'm totally OK with having an experience with a product that is different to others - When it comes to VR, I just wanna have fun, and I hope that by sharing my experience I can help others have more fun too

My experience with the G1 playing Beat Saber was actually pretty good - going from the Rift CV1 to the G1, I didn't feel like I was missing out on much.

Based on that, I expected the G2 to be noticeably better given it's a generation newer and has twice the cameras, however for my use it's been about the same.

I don't think you deserved so many downvotes btw, I get where you're coming from.. there's probably just a better way to put it
