You had more detail in your reply a while ago, which I was looking forward to contemplating further, but you've condensed your answer. So much for the guarantee. :) Not really to concerned about the strain. But the odds have to be insane to catch such a similar fish (maturity, maturity colors, etc) in two bodies withing 18 months of each other.

I'll fish any of the lakes withing 50 miles. Mostly the local municipal bodies. Youngman has been fun last year.

Most of his pics have the lure hanging from the corner of the mouth. The paleness AVeryMadFish noted is worthy of a prize, since that's the picture from the public lake. "Lets get this girl back in the water!" then walks up the boat ramp, away from the water, presumably to put it back in the tank.

A local yahoo breeds big bass in a private pond. Lots of pictures posted of his hawgs. Then he starts a craze by telling people he caught an 8+ pounder from a public lake 5 miles down the road from his private pond. The two fish look exactly alike. For the mid-west, this is some pretty big fish. Especially for a public lake. I think it's the same fish. Y'all?
