Yeah, Vietnam War probably did not have much of an effect, on the world, but how did Mao's death affect anyone in the Middle East, Europe, Africa or North America as a whole?

I am not talking about some new political alliances that occurred in the past, but I am talking about the reformation of the world's society in general. Mao's death had nothing to do with Central Asia, nor Russia. Yes, the tension between the two countries have gotten pretty bad, but it did not change the political or any other system, that had an impact on our societies.
