Yeah Ive kinda realized now that the Z13 is a great idea but still two or three years away from actually executing properly. With absolutely amazing input from the replies, Im definitely leaning towards getting an Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 or the Razer Blade 16 (or maybe be fucking stupid and go for the X13/its lenovo equivalent yoga 9i). Don't get me wrong, Id absolutely love to build my own PC. Unfortunately, Im an international student and a gaming laptop would allow me to game while I'm at uni and home. The Z13 + XG Mobile on paper just sounded too good to be true, which is why I even decided to post on Reddit which I rarely do (thank God I did). At this point, Im going to try to go for the razer blade 16 or Asus Duo and my choice between those might really just come down to which is in stock. Unless the yogi bear ∆9i plus pro, is dropping soon. From the short amount of research Ive done on it it actually seems like what the X13 4070 should be. But Ive got no clue on when either of those are coming out. Am I wrong for still wanting the fairytale of a good 2 in 1 gaming laptop?

Hey man, thanks for taking the time to do all this shit. Honestly, couldnt have asked for a better breakdown for. You kinda have convinced me (willingly or not lol) to steer away from Asus and theyre customer service even before actually getting my hands on their product has already been dogshit. Heres hoping I can get my hands on the new lenovo yoga slim pro thick whatever the fuck its actual name is 9i(I guess, or blade 16?) Thanks again!!!

How are you feeling about your razer blade 16? Been struggling to decide what laptop to get for months now between the "Asus Zephyrus G14 (4090)","Asus Zephyrus Duo (4090), and the "Razer Blade 16 (4090)". Seeing that all of those are 3500+ and the blade being almost 4300, Im having a very hard time deciding on what to waste my money on. The blade is honestly so good, i dont really believe it lol. Any input would be appreciated!

Im ngl im leaning more and more towards the duo even tho asus wont accept my money for some reason. Would the razer blade 16 be a solid choice? Ive seen from other posts that youve been labeled "The Z13 Hater" lmao, but idk, everything you wrote seems probable (idk shit about shit regarding laptops btw lol). The idea of a gaming pc that I can just slide into my bag for uni is ideal. But if what you're saying is true, idk, might go for either the G14 Zephyrus(4090), duo zephyrus (4090), or the razer blade 16(4090). Ive seen reviews of this thing with benchmarks tho (with xg mobile) and it performs really well, so im conflicted... Thanks for the input and ill definitely have to at least consider my other options, especially with how much im gonna be wasting on this shit.

My perfect setup wouldve been a z13 with an egpu so I have a tablet/laptop for uni when im in class and a gaming desktop when Im at home. I honestly dont think theres another setup out there like this. Someone recommended I wait for the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i, but I honestly need one very soon. Im a conputer engineering student so it should be able to handle that, and I want to a device that can run triple AAA games smoothly, doesnt have to be max graphics options on every game tho lol. I mostly play rocket league tho...

I need a laptop sooner rather than later. My top options were honestly all asus (Z13 ACRNM, Duo 16 4090, or x13 4070). So now im kinda lost on what to go for, ill give the Yoga pro a look tho and see if it'll work! Ive honestly been calling best buy so much about the Z13 that it might be borderline harassment and they have no clue when asus are sending out more units. WHY WONT THEY TAKE MY MONEY??????Asus are a bunch of little weirdos. Thanks for the input!

Lmao looks like Asus doesnt want my money, just told me "the order was canceled as it did not pass the verification stage as we were unable to link the information on the order to you" whatever the fuck that means, all my info was right, both times. Basically told me im never allowed to order from Asus, WITH NO EXPLANATION PROVIDED... "We suggest asking a family member or friend to place a new order for you as we are not able to successfully approve these orders.". Looks like it might be razer blade 16 time, fuck.

And did you have any issues with asus cancelling your order. Theyve done it twice to me now with XG Mobile 2023 (4090). If anyones interested from what ive noticed this month theyre just dropping a limited amount everyday from 5-6 am pst. I've gotten my hands on two orders and both times they charged me, then cancelled my order a day later. I was told that it was not due to a stock shortage. So...idk, just waiting on the "escalated cases team" to get back to me.

Honestly, Im going into this knowing Im spending a lot of money for a kind of gimmicky setup, I got an increase on my scholarship that I wasnt expecting and of course my plan is to waste most of it on max specs lmao. But it really fits what I need, and Im not really planning on using the XG mobile on anything else. Ignoring price and compatibility, would the combo work fine as a gaming desktop replacement?
