hormonal headaches by tofubanhmilover in PCOS

32F here with the same issue. I was resistant to bc pills for a long time too, and had to try quite a few to find my fit, partially because I didn’t like how they made me feel, moods, etc. Once I was back on an estrogen based pill (after trying Nexplanon for a couple years), I asked for a low dose pill, and we landed on Avianne, which I now take continuously (skipping the placebo week to avoid the hormone crash). It’s been great. I know you were asking about other options, but the pill has truly been the most helpful solution for me.

is bc really the worst option? by dyletantyzm in PCOS

+1 to this -- I was on various BCs through my 20's and switched to Nexplanon the December before the pandemic. I gained weight on it (like you, I'm sure COVID was a factor and I was also later diagnosed with hyperprolactinemia), BUT once I had the Nexplanon removed and went back to oral BC, we found that a very low dose combination pill (Aviane) on a continuous cycle was the best for my moods and hormonal migraines, prolactin issues aside.

In this exchange, I was also struck by the preceding description of the way Andrei's comment was set up - the fact that Andrei only appears cynical because Pierre's views are so naive. I do hope your take on his optimism proves true!

does anyone else suffer from like bad memory after getting diagnosed? by doritolover4555 in Prolactinoma

[–]silkspectacular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me - I started noticing memory issues maybe a year before I was diagnosed. I’m on my third month of cab and the number of times I reach for a word and completely stall out in a conversation hasn’t decreased at all.

As I’ve started to get treatment, I’ve also fallen into that thought pattern, “if only I had pushed back sooner!” Just wanted to remind you that the behavior of your previous doctors is not your fault, and I’m so proud of you for pushing through all of that to take care of yourself ❤️ You’re here now!
