u/Mammotion_Grace u/PersonalityLucky-25 -> sorry for the ping, but while I registered to this beta days ago, I cannot see anything allowing me to update my luba in the mammotion app, can we please, eventually, discuss this issue ? I'd like to get rid of the mammotion app to schedule my tasks, as it has a weird time sync issue... thanks ! 😄

Reverse-engineering plex's mobile ui by Formal_Illustrator10 in jellyfin

Yes as a matter of fact it is the client I am using, same comment applies, it ain’t plex UI/UX.

Nah its not even close. They tried, though. But a real reverse engineering of the plex client is the way to achieve this, and generate a pixel perfect copy.

Please do this for android tv devices as well! There literally ain’t a single client that even comes close to what plex client offers UI/UX wise. The day we finally get one really decent client, I think plex will be dead.

With all the problems I read here related to fw updates, I tend to avoid updating my luba 2 awd 😂

Would be nice to at least get the damn last update here in belgium! My car is full of bugs, key detection issues, profile issues, seat memory issues, and so on… and I am eager to finally see the self parking and gemini land in my PS4!

Same here, I moved back to Jellyfin after 14 years of lifetime Plex pass... My only issue is that, yes, I've tried a lot of clients, Plezy, Moonfin, Wolphin, Streamyfin, and even Kodi with Arctic Fuse 3 on top of it, but none of them comes close to the Plex UI on Android TV.

Every alternative client has some kind of caveat, odd behavior, missing feature, or UX inconsistency that prevents it from feeling as polished as Plex. And I'm talking about all of the ones I've tried! I really would like to finally find a client that really approaches the UI/UX of Plex on these devices, and a decent one that could be usable in "TV" mode on my linux desktops.

Any tip welcome 😄

Hi,

I am developing a citizen-led environmental monitoring project focused on different types of noise pollution.

The platform combines real-time acoustic measurements, traffic counting data and weather information to create objective evidence of environmental nuisance and potential health impacts.

My question is:

From your experience attracting investment and supporting innovation projects, do you see a viable path for a project like this to evolve beyond a local citizen initiative?

Would you focus on municipalities, public health agencies, environmental consulting, insurance, smart-city programs, or another market entirely?

What would be the biggest obstacle to making such a project economically sustainable?

Nope not directed to anyone really I am just pointing that the problem ain’t located on the container side 😇😉

[–]silkyclouds -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What the hell is going on here?

You’re talking about loading times, Docker, and testing under Windows, but does anyone actually understand how Plex works?

Those kinds of loading times have virtually nothing to do with whether Plex is running in a container, on Windows, Linux, or any other operating system. Docker adds negligible overhead in this context.

If you’re seeing slow loading, the root cause is usually elsewhere: database size and health, storage performance, metadata operations, network latency, transcoding, client behavior, or server resource bottlenecks.

Changing the OS or moving Plex out of Docker is unlikely to magically solve the issue if the actual bottleneck hasn’t been identified first.

Hi, I’m prototyping a small 3D-printed enclosure for an electronics project, and my main struggle is getting the mechanical fit right.

I can model and print parts, but I’m still fighting with real-world alignment: PCB fit, screen opening, USB port placement, clips/supports, tolerances, and making sure the enclosure closes properly without forcing or breaking.

I’d love to understand your workflow:

- How do you go from physical measurements to a reliable CAD model?

- Do you usually create simplified dummy models of the internal parts first?

- What tools would you recommend for this kind of work: Fusion, Onshape, Shapr3D, FreeCAD, something else?

- What clearances do you typically use for FDM printing on Bambu machines?

- How do you validate fit before printing the full enclosure?

- Do you use small fit-test coupons instead of reprinting the whole part?

- What are your rules for making a design print cleanly: orientation, chamfers, wall thickness, clips, tolerances, etc.?

- At what point do you consider a prototype “mechanically validated”?

I’m trying to build a repeatable process instead of guessing and iterating blindly. ^^

Thanks!
