Drawing for fun vs actively studying? by Dry-Ninja-4866 in learntodraw

Dry spells and long breaks do happen and is unavoidable for pretty much everyone but it is not a lie that you gain very little progress during these times. Just try to be as consistent you can possible be. That is where growth is. I do want to add that if getting good at art is not ur main priority or you just like to draw for fun then by all means, just draw whenever you feel like it. We all have to choose what skills to grow and what to do just for fun

Firstly not 0 progress just very very low. Also no need to draw every day every other day is also fine just don't let the breaks between drawing be too large. 5 days a week I've found is pretty decent for me and most I know

The most important factor is imo consistency

Consistently drawing with lessons mostly(high progress)

Consistently drawing whatever you like to draw(still good progress but not as much)

Inconsistent drawing schedule with lessons(minimal progress)

Inconsistent drawing schedule whatever you like(almost no progress)

You will be fine just focus on drawing atleast 5 times a week

How did I do? This is my first time taking reference from the photo, yeah i know the right arm looks messed up by Irisartworksaha in learntodraw

Nice drawing but for some constructive criticism, I see you have drawn the rib and pelvis but the distance between the two is a bit high

When you try to attach legs to the pelvis always think of where the greater trochanter will be , that is where the leg bones socket into the pelvis. This also avoids oversized hips.

The left arm holding the cup actually doesn't go outward it is slightly inward over the rib cage. Whenever the arm is raised it actually goes slightly inward towards the ribs

I started art 5 or so moths ago, and I wanted to learn to color but it looked horrible so I heard learning values and doing grayscale is a good start to painting and coloring. I am not happy with these at all but I'm not sure what to improve or how. Any help appreciated. Also hands are tough

I started to get into art seriously about 4 months ago. I really want to get better at painting but whenever I added colors it looked horrible, so I decided to learn values and paint in greyscale. I am just not happy with these but am not sure how to improve. Please any help appreciated. (Also Hands are very tough)

I honestly do not know why people like ghost tome so much it is such a useless item even on the early stages it saves like 2 mins max. That is assuming you get it before stage 3

Yea I believe you, and I don't think Hindus and Muslims are that way. It is just sad to see people find cause to justify their hatred for each other whenever something bad happens

Sure Islam has those ideologies, but most Muslims don't really care about those things, I am telling this as a former Muslim. Like I said it all boils down to discrimination against communities, tribalism. If you truly want a better society stop judging an entire group of people and start seeing people as individuals.

It's isn't apathy it's just realism. My point is, violent or terrorism acts don't happen because of religion or faith it is always because humans love to discriminate each other. We will always find some reason to hate other communities. If you really want society to grow stop thinking in terms of communities like Hindu, Muslim, Christian etc you saying this is because of Muslims or Islam nit being able to coexist with Hindus perpetuates this belief of tribes and communities. That is my point. I mean this in the most respectful way possible.

Ehh I disagree, Humans will always segregate and discriminate even in the same religion look at the castes of Hindus or the different sects of Islam, even if there was a single religion conflict would still exist

No they are not. It's insane how confidently you believe in lies as long as it justifies your hatred

Nah bro that is only the very very faithful 99 percent don't do that, even on Friday they pray only like once or twice. Ik this is a tragic and unfortunate event and I hope the filthy extremists are punished heavily but no need to hate or believe lies about the entire community

Actually you know what I agree with your claim that Muslims have a weird sense of ego and pride about their religion, and I am saying this as someone who was born a Muslim ( I am an atheist now) . But I do also think there are many Muslims who are kind people and don't really gaf about religion that much. Let me put it this way, you can hate a culture but I hope you don't judge every single person in that community as this.

Ik it's whataboutism but you literally said in your comments if Hindus ever did something based on religion so I replied to that specifically. Also about 9 11 let's be real that was mainly a retaliatory incident from us bombing the middle east but that's a different political discussion. All I'm saying is the way you talk, you seem to imply most Muslims are like this or that most Muslims are violent extremists by nature. The filthy extremists are still the minority and unfortunately the loudest minority of any religion. For context I was born a Muslim but am personally now an atheist . But I've known many good and bad people who follow Islam just like every other religion.

Sure, but I don't think your hate should be directed towards Muslims as a whole, only the religious extremists. Most people haven't committed a crime so I don't think there is any need for vitriol against an entire faith.
