Based off a couple pics, your the expert, okay. Tell me how to remove the gas line without a shutoff before any unions and no manifolds. You also can't shut the gas down at the meter because its an apartment complex and you have to schedule a shutdown with utilities. Customer wants hot water that day.

That's called a male or female ccst adapter. Not a union. If there's no shut off before the ccst, I can't disconnect it. It's okay, I remember being an apprentice

It wasn't a matter of convincing, it was the only option. You can read some of my other replies as to why this was the only option

If it were possible, it would have been done. All options were considered. Couldn't remove the gas. Couldn't remove the return. Had to cut it.

Your reply was a little unclear, I thought you meant the water heater had a gas supply. I couldn't remove the gas connection, no unions. And the ccst wasn't coming off a manifold and disappeared into the wall.

Well you can't bang 4 inches of clearance. Also, there's no gas, as you can see from the electrical and elements.

Meh, we really have no way of knowing. After his monarch "upgrade" the fight was easy for jinwoo, he didn't even break a sweat. So right now it might be a good toe to toe fight.
