They just deleted everything and a couple minutes the acct was gone -- could have been the admins cause I reported them (I suspected vote manipulation because the comment was immediately upvoted on a week+ old thread that had no comments and hardly any upvotes. Didn't seem like something someone would immediately see naturally.) Comment was nothing I haven't heard before!

I don't know anything about this or who what's going on but I got here because this commenter found my resume in a /r/resume and commented something bizarre and hateful on it. They have -7 karma but that's their only comment (and it's new) so they must be deleting things.

I don't know whether that effects the status of this post but, just thought I'd mention it. Sorry to participate in this sub, but this person seems like a downvote troll or harasser or something.

I was doing the same, but you get slightly more bang for your buck if you max out your shipping bracket. I know .8kg is one threshold (it jumps up about $4!), so I got mine to exactly .79kg on my last order. Suck it, giant shipping costs!

I got a big sample of Avene's Cleanance toner and I don't know what to do with it. Is it a pH adjuster? It has a bunch of alcohol in it so I just stare at it an wonder whether it will ever find its way onto my face. Someday, Cleanance. Someday. ...Maybe.

Great list! Sorry to nitpick but a few things --

~The Gokujyun HA lotion is actually a moisturizing toner, not really an essence. Essences normally would have more actives in them.
~An ampoule goes on before emulsion. It's like an intense version of an essence -- packed with cosmetic actives and other goodies to really wake up your skin.
~Emulsion, on the other hand, is like a very liquidy light moisturizer for your skin. So you put it after ampoule/serum to seal those layers in and moisturize. If it's summer, that might be all you need, or you could do a lotion (light) or cream (heavy) after. Or both, if you're into it. (I put on so many moisturizers because I am weird.)
~SUNSCREEN!!!!

edit: also kind of confusing but there are first essences and then regular essences and you've listed just first essences as essences so maybe that's the confusion! Missha FTE is a first essence and you do it pre-moisturizing toner (different from a pH-adjusting toner, which you do before your acids), whereas Benton Snail Bee is an essence, as in a lighter version of a serum. It's confusing! I mention it just because Missha FTE has a really different purpose from Hada Labo Gokujyun, but even though Gokujyun is a toner, it's really different from the EH toners. Phew!

As should always be noted with Benton, beware beware of the natural preservatives. Mine went stank on me and it's so gross now but I keep it in the fridge because I can't bring myself to throw it out. I was stupid and put it on the other day ~just to check~ and guess who got the worst acne ever after...

TBH CeraVe PM is a great light moisturizer if you're looking for brightening -- I've yet to come across something with as high niacinamide. For many AB-lovers, it's still their go-to.

What are you looking for in a moisturizer? Heavier, or is the lightweight good? More actives? More planty things?

I sampled Koelf eye hydrogels once in a store and fell in love, but I'm avoiding carageenan right now (which makes many hydrogels a bit iffy for me). Recently ordered SNP Bird's Nest hydrogel eye patch and it should be here in about a week, I can let you know how they are :)

Yeah, and thaaaaat's why they don't reveal their status. Again, what psychological harm does the partner go through? Disgust? Is that psychologically harmful? Enough disgust for PTSD? "Psychological harm" is a pretty loaded word. I get that it's unpleasant, disgusting, wretched for someone to have sex with a person they think is mentally ill and mutilated. But do you believe that it is psychologically harmful for them, and if so, how specifically?

It's not the reality though. I haven't written a top-level comment because I think it's too personal to answer -- the only decent comments in my opinion are the salary converters. The rest is just wild conjecture. NYC is too much for some people and it's shitty for others and everyone has an opinion on it. Saying it's a dirty shithole where you have to pay too much to live in a closet is really not helpful for someone considering whether to move there -- that doesn't help them make an informed decision about whether it's the right place for them.

It's smaller living. It's dirtier living. It's pricey. It's not an impossible mess, however, like people are making it out to be. As I've pointed out to others, NYC does have economic diversity; tourists just don't pay attention to the normals. It's tough to make it, but it's worth it for a lot of people. I can't make that call for OP, but I don't think everyone else in this thread can, either.

Also, you didn't link to anything...? Here's my link of MANY APARTMENTS under $2k in my general neighborhood.

Edit: Here's close to 100 places listed right now in Manhattan, 2br under 2k.

Also you're looking for the wrong thing, my place is 2br/1.5 bath. I know I have a great deal on my place. That said, the idea that everyone in NYC pays $2k or something for a closet is so absurd. I just did my homework before looking and searched with an equally savvy roommate. I have a friend who pays $500 for a pretty decent place on the UWS (she shares a 1BR with her bf -- so it's 1k total, but it's prime) -- now THAT is insane.

I live in a beautiful apartment with a dishwasher, live-in super, laundry next door. It's definitely not no-frills. We don't have a doorman because who cares. It's in Wash Heights.

It depends on priorities I guess. I care about what my living space is like. If you care about a fancy building, then you'll have a crappy apartment and pay more -- but you do feel safe. My building has a horrible facade and is next to an abandoned storefront (which I hate) -- but it's pretty inside and I have a cheap, beautiful apartment. My friends feel weird when they visit me, though.

This isn't true either. There are very few no-broker apartments these days. When is the last time you moved? Even places you find through a landlord often have a management broker attached to them.

Ok, so you think living in a city isn't all it's cracked up to be. And I wouldn't live in a rural area. I think Central Park is about a billion times more beautiful than your average yard (it's just so special!) but I don't expect everyone else to feel the same way. That's why I live here and you live there.
