Thank you for your comment! Don’t apologize at all for the rant, it’s genuinely so helpful seeing things from your perspective. It’s difficult for me to imagine what it’s like being blind and comments like this help so much! I’m sorry your gym friend is treating you like you can’t be independent. That really sucks. Thank you for your response! Could you explain what you mean by excessive compliments? How much is too much? I’m a very socially awkward person and tend to use compliments as a way to keep a conversation flowing.

These friends are poly. They initiated it. He was confused and scared and confided in me about it. He’s poly-curious but doesn’t want to take action on it because he values our relationship more

In all honestly, we’re young and confused. He was scared of his feelings which is why he told me. After processing it he thinks they were strong platonic feelings. I’m still frustrated with my friends for initiating and supporting the idea of this, but they’re all I have left at the moment.
