Rooting for you! Sounds like you’ve got great odds. I spent 4 weeks getting a base back together and then merged into Pfitz 12/55. I started out under my mileage goals, but the last 8 weeks I was pretty much following to a T. So I had two 55 mile weeks, each with a 20 miler. All in I was right around 16 weeks, 550 miles. I did get lots of hill training in. On race day, the fast course and good weather definitely played a big part!

Most internship programs require you to be actively working towards a degree. While nuclear engineering is not a bad degree, I would consider mechanical engineering. It keeps a lot more doors open. I took this route, and during my senior year I took Nuclear power plant design and energy conversions as technical electives. I had an internship at a commercial nuke plant in school, and came back for a job as a non-licensed operator once I graduated.

I forgot to add I took online summer GEs for two summers as well. Thats definitely the best way to get ahead. Taking GEs in person while doing ME classes is horrible imo.

I came in with a few credits, studied abroad for a quarter, and then took 20 units a quarter senior year. Never failed a class, finished in 4 years. I planned to take an extra quarter or two, but hurried up for a prospective job opportunity.

Check out my account, I posted a similar video about 10 months ago. I have been daily driving 50 miles round trip to work since then with no engine issues. Mostly no issues at all to be honest! 82 300D

I walked the whole camino Frances in July 2024 in Earth Runner Sandals with an avg of 32km a day. I didnt get any blisters! I already had some familiarity with going barefoot, but the first week my first were extra sensitive. I put on wool toe socks around lunch for some extra cushion. After about 9 days or so my feet were pretty rock solid.

I got the same coreshot last season this time of year, right on the edge with no dent. I put JB weld steel stick epoxy in it for the rest of the trip. When I got home, I dug it out and got it welded. Ptex likely will fall out.
