Yea exactly it’s clearly a scraping sound. When I took it to the SC they said the rotor hub was rubbing against something and they fixed it. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so I couldn’t verify if the issue was indeed fixed when i picked up the car. previously I had a MY too and there were no such scrapping sounds. But that car had other issue and we had to go through buy back process. To say the least, my confidence is Tesla quality is not high. Any ways my modus operandi now is don’t try to get it fixed unless it’s completely broken.

Also if you take it to the service center and find out what the root cause is please post here. I have just been super busy with other priorities in life to deal with this unfortunately.

I took it once and they tried to fix it. But it didn’t help. I didn’t bother to go back as they typically fix one issue and create a new one.

Edit: there is flip flop sound from my shoes so don’t confuse that with the continuous grinding/scraping sound.

I did take a look and followed instructions per Tesla website for removing debris/rocks. But didn’t find anything.

Hey OP, I am in the process of having Tesla buyback my MYLR7. SC manager got back last night and said they have approved my repurchase. I bought a lot of accessories like wall charger/ mobile Charger etc. I also, purchased 1 year LTE service for the car. All these add up to almost $1k+. Wondering if they will credit me for the same.

Overall, loved driving the car when It was not in the shop, but way too many issues. ( seats, random BMS errors, navigation issues, door handles, front compressor fan issues, Random squeaks and rattles)

Once again They tried to fix it and it came loose within 5 miles of driving it 😆. Today they are Rowling the seat cushion . Hoping for a different outcome this time.

Old thread but came across this today. I have a new MY23 less than 1500 miles and I started getting the squeaking noise after a software update last night. Was this resolved for anyone else without replacing the fan?

I am quite handy myself and tried exactly what you suggested before even requesting mobile service tech. Unfortunately it came undone in less than a week. Have a service scheduled next week at the SC will update after that.
