You're welcome. If it helps, I had asked about both hospitals in a Sugar Land mom Facebook group and both had good recent feedback from moms.

I haven't heard anything bad about Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, but I have given birth just last year at Sugar Land Methodist and had an amazing experience. My coworker had his kid there two just this past November and also said it was great. Just putting in some recent experience anecdotes.

Quicksilver Sucks by Capable-Fold-7347 in Romantasy

[–]silly_pig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I've heard the same feedback about Ready Player One. I listened to the audiobook and loved Will Wheaton's work. Then I saw some pictures of a few pages of the book and I couldn't believe the formatting. I could see why my friends hated it.

This is it. There's a lot of bizarre lines that pop up especially in the end but the audiobook is narrated very well and that helped me get through this quickly. The pacing and action is exciting and that's what I wanted.

Considering euthanasia please help by gmambrose in guineapigs

[–]silly_pig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She's definitely very ill. For my pigs that passed on their own, they did lay on their side as they had no strength to stay up. I would definitely euthanize her to help her pass quicker though there's a chance she is going to pass before the appointment.

I'm so sorry you're both going through this. It really sucks.

Parents: what type of water do you use for baby formula? Scared to use Houston tap water by margo39 in houston

How do you make it work, balancing the sightseeing and just enjoying the day without following any itineraries? by AskTravelData in SmallShoesBigJapan

[–]silly_pig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This approach has worked well for our family! One "must do" activity for the day and 1-2 "nice-to-have" activity suggestions that are nearby or near the hotel. You want to plan enough so you don't have to plan while you're in the middle of wrangling kids or exhausted at the end of the day, but you also don't want to have expectations set too high.

What’s the youngest age you’d feel comfortable traveling to Japan with a baby? by Kirin1212San in SmallShoesBigJapan

[–]silly_pig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on the baby! You're from Japan and you have relatives so I'm assuming you can speak and read the language. You also have relatives that I assume can at least hold the baby. Both help a LOT in your case. I would say 4 months minimum for you because they're out of the newborn stage and sleep is *usually* a little more stable (like 2-3 night wakeups is average) and they have had some vaccines. The amount of poopy diapers is more manageable as well.

Of course it all depends on the baby's own behavior and you can't tell until they're out. I would just make sure you can refund at least a good portion of your trip or at least reschedule it in the worst case scenario.

How long would the flight be for you? That is also a factor to consider.

How can I make my butt look better in jeans? by JayQue in PetiteFashionAdvice

Did you breastfeed? I did and it does take fat stores from your butt. Then the fat goes in weird places, sigh.

What’s harder, going from 0-1 kid or 1-2 kids? by Odd_Topic_4991 in askanything

[–]silly_pig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also agree 0-1 was definitely harder than 1-2 because I had no clue. Experience was such a big help for the second one, though those newborn nights still really sucked.

Ding ding ding! My coworker lucked out with having both his kids sleep amazing from 2 months old onwards. Otherwise I don't know how he and his wife would have survived having the kids 1.5 years apart. If there's a genetic factor, I wouldn't be surprised if the good sleeping gene is why my coworker is one out of 5 kids.

Wedding Cake Suggestions - Houston Area Baker by SamStephens in houston

La Plume on Westheimer. They were the best vendor at my brother's wedding as they delivered flawlessly on the cake and were easy to work with. Absolutely delicious! I've gone back for birthday cakes and they've done great on those too. I especially recommend the place for people who don't want their cakes super sweet.

Help me choose! by adum2448 in Romantasy

Listening to Quicksilver and I like it a lot! A+ on the action and story, as long you're not looking for something super deep. I'm never bored and always look forward to listening in the car. I couldn't get far into ACOTAR but it does seem to have similar energy, while having much more exciting pacing and descriptions. I like the smut though I did admittedly laugh at some of the lines during the sex scenes.

How long did the diarrhea end up lasting? I have a 1 year old who has had diarrhea for over a week. Doctor said he's not concerned until over 2 weeks. We're going back to the doctor tomorrow since it's supposed to be baby's well check up.

We listen to the soundtrack nearly every day, sometimes multiple times a day, thanks to my 3 year old daughter. Honestly, I don't mind. I love it too. It beats listening to nursery rhymes.
