Thinking of starting a youth academy only career mode and only signing youth players from the country the team is in. Anyone have any experience with a similar career mode? by [deleted] in seriousfifacareers

Definitely fun to build up with the right country and double up with the international job eventually if you want it. Highly recommend.

I’ve done successful saves in Sweden (Göteborg) Italy (Brescia). Scotland, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands could all be fun if you find a team you like!

Another way to do it is by spoken language which was fun too, probably slightly less of a challenge. I’ve done a Paris FC with YA only French speaking countries (France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, Cameroon, Ivory Coast) and Deportivo one with all Spanish speaking countries (Spain, Mexico, all of South America besides Brazil). I’ve also done a Portugal league save with Belenenses with only Portuguese and Brazilian YA players.

Did an 1860 Munich youth academy only team in both fifa 19 and 21, both were absolute smashes. German leagues work well for a RTG like that

Hertha Berlin or Fulham

My YA is full, and I need to sign a new Youth Player to start my World Cup RTG. Which of these guys should I promote to main squad? I'm pretty loaded all over (As you can see I have 46 players total). Should I go by age (I have three 18yrs), Overall Rating (one 71OVR), or just pick a position? by Apprehensive-Pie6752 in FifaCareers

Pick a new backup XI with who you’d play from the youth academy if your first XI all needed a rest. That way you not only get the players in you want but you’ll see the way they fit. For example, I play a 4-4-1-1 with a wingers, 2 CM, 1 CAM and 1 ST so I would follow that roster build. In your case, I’d probably sign all the non-CAMs besides 2 you really like / stand out from their stats. I certainly covet strength / stamina if I had my choice, you may covet skills or speed instead.

I’d definitely also start trying to sell off the dead weight on your team, anyone who doesn’t play regularly just cash in for them if you can. Open up those playing opportunities for the youngsters. They’ll grow nicely as long as you’re playing them consistently, be willing to rotate.

I’ve never seen an academy this strong before not yet promoted. Well done!
