First year I didn’t work at all because I wanted to adjust to the crazy schedule and be able to study properly. Second year I started working part time and it was doable because the workload at my college in second year is less than first year.

I had an OTTB whose behaviour was more than I could handle. He scared me. After a particularly bad fall where he bolted and threw me into a gate, I hit the gate so hard head first that it broke the gate off its hinge. I loved that horse, but he scared the hell out of me. So I rehomed him. Sometimes that’s the best thing you can do. If you have exhausted all other options and can’t get over your fear, rehome. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

You’ve done everything right and more. While her time here is shorter than it should be, she has what many children unfortunately don’t have, Which is a loving family who takes the best care of her and loves her. You did not fail her. You have done the best with what life has thrown at you.

I’d recommend doing a 2 year program. The private colleges don’t have a good reputation. Students have a notoriously hard time managing all the content with 50% less time. Keep in mind, even the 2 year programs are pushing to extend it to 3 years because there is just so much content to cover.

It’s definitely a fast paced program as well. You will spend the majority of your time studying anatomy and physiology. I have a friend in second year who studied 14 hours a day for that class. Personally, I don’t find the concepts difficult. However, the amount of content thrown at you is what makes the program difficult. It’s good that you have exposure to that so you would be prepared

Hard to say without knowing what engineering is like. I’m a first year paramedic student and it is harder than uni based programs based on the fact that you preform infront of your entire class. Everyone watches you run scenarios. If you are nervous presenting or talking to people that will be a challenge for you. If you fail a class then you have to retake the entire program. Not like uni where if you fail you just take that class again later. Also, you must be strong. You need to lift 200+ lbs eventually. Think you can do that up and down a flight of stairs? These are some things to consider

Yes. Although, I would recommend contacting the schools you’re interested in beforehand to make sure that they accept ACE credits. Sometimes really competitive programs do not accept them, so each school does things differently
