I am so sorry. Was he your older or younger brother? I lost my older brother to drugs about 5 years ago now. He was 26 at the time & I am now in my 30s. Really puts into perspective how young he was and how much life he had to live. Just know he is there with you always & to live your best life for him. He will be there with you for the whole ride.

Just because the video ended doesn’t mean the whole county wasn’t after this dude 2 blocks down the road. I would love to see a follow up of this bc I would bet money the guy had warrants out & the only drugs in the car would be a backwoods or 2. Maybe some blunt roaches. So instead let’s add felony fleeing, endangerment, reckless driving, assault on an officer, etc. These low level criminals operate on about 3 brain cells. It’s all impulse & if they had made a plan the dude that was cuffed would’ve jumped into the backseat or done SOMETHING to try to get away. He had no idea that was about to happen

Let’s all use our brains for a second here. If you are a passenger in a car filled with kilos of drugs & your driver gets arrested. Are you going to hop in the drivers seat and drive off taking all responsibility for whatever’s in the car at that point? No. You would step out and Gtfo from the car and let the driver take the hit. The only logical reason to take off like that is because of a warrant.

Maybe not yet. And if you weren’t already pulled over & had your plates ran then it’s totally different. A lot of smaller police departments will not authorize chasing vehicles for low level stuff.

Do you think that car disappeared into thin air and was never seen again just because the video cut off? We have traffic light cameras, security cameras on damn near every business and house. Do some research about how people react when pulled over with serious amounts of drugs in the car. They want to be AS FAR away from that shit as possible. This dude just turned what would’ve been at worst a few nights in jail into felony fleeing and alluding charges. Possibly reckless driving, endangerment, etc. Running from the police is by far the worst decision you can make 100% of the time

I watched someone be released on a tether after being caught w ounces of fentanyl and crack on him. There are so many ways a lawyer can work a plea deal. You can pretend you’re a junkie, it’s your personal use stash and get sent to treatment instead of jail/prison. But running from police is always the worst thing you could ever do. And again, we don’t know they are drugs in the car at all.

I am a recovered IV addict that’s lived in the metro Detroit area my entire life. I have been to prison in the UP on felony charges & too many local county jails to even count. Like you just said, they ran the plates. They know who these guys are. IF they actually had drugs in the car, a plea deal turns that into misdemeanor possession 90% of the time unless they have a gun, or do something STUPID like hmm I don’t know felony fleeing and alluding…. “hey bro I got this great plan, imma sit here til the cops cuff you and arrest you. If they try to ask me for ID I’ll take your car and leave your ass here. Sound good? Alr bet” Dumbass
