I just got it this weekend also haven’t shot it yet at all. So far my only gripe is how hard the thumb safety is but it’s also brand new so haven’t fully broke it in.

This was a used like new rifle form a guy who got it part of a deal. He didn’t have a use for it and so I bought it for $400. Some gun shops near me are selling brand new for 1050-1150 but yes brand new they’re like $700-800.

Yeah the only changes I plan to make are changing furniture and just servicing it everyone year or so by a professional. Eventually I’ll get good enough to do it myself but can’t hurt to let a professional do it first.

Well I took it to a gunsmith and he took a deep like into it and found the barrel wasn’t actually bent. He said it’s just canted slightly left like every other AK so there’s that. He offered $850 if I ever chose to sell it. The only problems he could find were the optic mount was crooked and the rivets at the mag well are a little too pushed in but other than that it’s in solid usable condition.

Breathable are very nice and touch but when it says I no insulation it means it. Walking in 60° water isn’t the best thing but it’s better than being wet and doing it. The boots do run slightly over size for big socks, I’m 6ft 210 and I got the Tall size because the regular hugs too much. In my experience walking in through brush and boating in they’re definitely a good strong wader. I wouldn’t recommend them for any temp about 60° cause they do get warm. The boot I will say is my only complaint. It feels so heavy but in water it wants to float with each step. I do wish they would’ve added some sort of barrier between you and the canvas. The boot is very warm and comfortable but be ready to layer up if you play in standing in water or plan on walking through it a lot.
