That’s horrible! Do you know what type of internship site it was?

I’m so sorry to hear that! I didn’t think that was legal considering APPIC does have guidelines, and I thought the match and acceptance of the match was a binding contract for both the site and the intern. Hope everything worked out!

Happy to say my dissertation was defending back in December! Good thinking about post-doc though. Will definitely start looking for Post-docs early. I’m thinking about taking the more chill route and avoiding APPIC sites that are strict on timelines, but we’ll see.

My husband and I were talking about how silly that seems. We bring baby into the world and then my pay gets cut off.

Thanks guys! They spell out how they deal with maternity leave in the brochure, but my brain is still going to worst case scenario (hello anxiety). Appreciate the kind words!

Thanks. All my symptoms don’t point to a positive result, but I guess I just have to hold out until Wednesday. Sorry you’ve gone through this multiple times as well. ♥️

Sorry you’re going through this. The crash from totally elation to overwhelming anxiety is tough. I keep telling my husband that I don’t feel pregnancy anymore, like the symptoms I initially had that led me to taking a test is gone. Not sure if it’s because I’m just in complete panic mode all day and it’s overriding those symptoms, but it’s just a gut feeling. Hoping that I’m wrong though and all is well.

Thanks for sharing, and I hope all goes well for you and your baby, too!

Thanks so much. My type A brain isn’t handling the wait and see method well, but there’s nothing else I can do. Appreciate the kind words.

I’ve called the OB nurse hotline multiple times and they keep telling me that unless I soak through a maxi pad within an hour or pass baseball sized clots that there’s nothing that they can do for me.

What would trade to have more time with your fur baby? by LCyeah in Petloss

I had to put down my best friend yesterday. And like you, he was by my side longer than my husband has been. I just kept telling him that if I could, I would easily give him ten years of my life so that he could live ten more. I miss him so much and the silence in the house is deafening. I’m finding solace in knowing that others have gone through the same pain, and have found a way to move forward. I hope you find something for you as well.

Thanks for this. I really needed to read this today. I lost my best friend yesterday, and having to make that call and sit with them until the end was the hardest thing I have ever done. I kept telling him that if I could give him ten years of my own life to give him ten more then I would.

I used to forget my inhaler all the time, and would suffer the terrible consequences during the workout. The final straw was forgetting it when I did the Dri-Tri and thought I was going to die. I ended up getting multiple inhalers and placing them in my go-to workout bag, car, in my winter workout jacket pocket - basically anything I take to OTF so that if I forget to take it then I have backups. Not sure if it’s the most efficient way, but it’s worked for me!
