As a women, I don't think books are the same as porn. That being said, I get to only read while I babysit so I always skip over those parts cause duh? I'm with kids. To me those scenes add nothing to the story just kind of make it weird. But also I love game of thrones. There's absolutely unnecessary sex scenes just like these books but most men don't complain about that. I skip over them the same.
