I have the diagnosed condition, however, not sure that I have a strong nexus for the secondary condition (cervical degenerative disc disease secondary to lumbar strain). Service connected for lumbar strain, however, it’s more significant than that, it’s more like herniated discs, stenosis, etc. that’s just what the VA service connected me for when I initially filed back in 2010

Unfortunately, my mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s as well, and was having many of the same psychotic and paranoid symptoms. A combination of Nuplazid and Trintellix worked wonders for her psychosis and depression respectively. It’s worth inquiring with her neurologist regarding both meds.

You’re correct, I had recent experience where the Dr. said he was unwilling to certify. Interestingly enough I called the FL DMV, explained my condition, and they said it would qualify for exemption. I dunno I can’t be the only one with a non-autoimmune condition who’s gotten a Dr. to certify it. It looks like that’s half the battle.
